A beautiful pub set in the Somerset countryside ...We stayed one night here before travelling onto Bath..Check in was easy and we were shown to our room by the owner.. friendly chap..The room with the ensuite was comfortable and contained everything we needed for a comfortable and enjoyable stay..Although a roadside location we didn't experience any traffic noise..Had a great night sleep in a very comfortable bed...In the evening we had a meal in the pub..Seems like the chap who owns this pub and b&B.. manages everything on his own?..Got to say our meal was cooked to perfection and ample portions for a reasonable price..So I would definitely recommend staying here or just taking the opportunity to enjoy a meal and a drink..Again breakfast was amazing.. great choice of cereal tea coffee and orange juice available along with a fully cooked breakfast was included in the price of our overnight stay..

What a lovely place was booked in by the company I was doing some work for. Turned up late Sunday night to be greeted by the owner Jeff a lovely man who couldn't have made me more welcome... Room was great perfect for what I needed small but ideal and I was placed at the back as the festival was in full flow... Had the best night's sleep the two nights I stayed so quiet and the bed was so comfortable... Eat here both nights food was great and reasonable cooked again by Jeff who seems to do everything. Had breakfast the morning before leaving and again great service and lovely breakfast... This place is 15th century but spotlessly clean and I hope to stay here again highly recommended

Absolutely fantastic value for money. Stunning location perfect for Bath and West Show Ground, Clark's Shopping Village, Glastonbury. All only minutes away and anywhere else in Somerset. We had a great relaxing weekend, breakfast in the morning and evening meal as it was convenient for us. Nothing was too much trouble, very homely friendly and made to feel very welcome.

Fabulous host who is an excellent chef in a great location to explore east Somerset. The building itself is approximately 500 years old, has many stories to "tell" and beautifully restored.

The rooms were clean and perfect for our needs, the evening meal was excellent and well worth the price paid. The breakfast was good with a choice of cereal and or cooked. There was no surrounding noise in the night and the bar itself is a lovely quaint pub.

We had a lovely two night break at the Pecking Mill,, We had a warm welcome from the owner, good food and the family room is lovely. It's actually two rooms adjoining which is nice for children to have a separate area.. Some of the decor is a little tired but the owner is friendly and helpful.. Some road noise in the Family room but that is just due to the the handy location.. Lovely beer garden at the back and good honest pub food..
