Ash & I got married at The Flying Fish Wedding Barn on 10/08/24. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect day. The support we've had from Julie, from booking, planning, setting up the Barn & the wonderful service from her the day of the wedding was just outstanding. Her team on the bar and serving the food were fantastic & couldn't do enough to help us in any shape or form. A massive thank you also to Kate & Buddy for being the most welcoming hosts who couldn't do enough for us, such friendly lovely people. We couldn't have chosen anywhere better for our big day, we were absolutely blown away! The food, the rooms, the views, the service, the wedding barn itself were just perfect! Thank you all for everything, from the new Mr & Mrs Bell x

I’ve never stayed here, but i certainly would. We cycle a lot in the summer and the flying fish is often our stopping point. …

Lovely country pub with very friendly staff. We had the Sunday roast, which was nice (especially the desserts that are part of the price) and very generous portions. We sat outside in the beer garden with lovely views.

This is a great little place somewhere in Ilminster. There is not much around unless you want to drive some. But we stayed for peace and quiet and we had a great time after being introduced to the local patrons! …

Thank you to Buddy and Kate and the team for what was a truly wonderful and memorable evening at the Flying Fish last night for my birthday. My wonderful Mum of almost 99 years old enjoyed her burger. My son also joined us. Our meals were superb and my birthday cake made by your chef was totally amazing and the best cake we have ever eaten. Your staff were very efficient and friendly. We’ve not returned since COVID and had forgotten what a welcoming and fantastic place you have. Thank you from the bottom of my heart xx

One of our, if not the best, experience in the UKAfter a month long roadtrip in the UK, we ended our journey here. Beautiful location, kind, friendly and dedicated staff, lovely accommodation, the food straight out of the Caribbean was a really nice touch here in the middle of Sommerset. We stayed here for two nights and could only recommend the experience to anyone looking for a quiet and pleasant stay.Thank you Kate, Buddy, Helen and Zoé and everyone for making this end of trip delightful ❤❤❤Jeanne and Colin

Stopped here for dinner while staying elsewhere locally. A mix of home made Caribbean and British food. The pineapple squid, the curried mutton, the mushroom soup and the beef and ale pie are recommended. Friendly service, and stunning views.

Nice location as a stop off between London and Cornwall, but was quite basic for the price and outside lighting made the bedroom too bright for me to sleep
