This was our first visit since 2018 and what a difference. The whole experience was most enjoyable in every way. The staff all displayed a can do attitude which was most refreshing. The in house entertainment team were superb. …

Very enjoyable 2-night stay, our first at a Warners. Our initial impression was very unfavourable, as we were given very sketchy instructions on how to find our room and we wandered around the large car park lugging our cases and we needed two more visits to the reception desk before we were finally given adequate directions. When we eventually did reach the room, there were no tea bags! Despite a phone call and an in-person request, none were forthcoming. However, great food, a really comfortable and spacious room and excellent staff turned things around. Also worth mentioning are the wonderful grounds, where we enjoyed a really pleasant walk.

Our first visit to a Warners stately home hotel, our only previous visit was to holiday camp style which we didn't like. This was the complete opposite. Beautiful location with excellent well maintained grounds, our room exceeded our expectations. Service on the whole very good, food is buffet style and apart from one evening again good. Entertainment and leisure facilities fine, did archery and rifle shooting. Some lovely walks around the grounds. Will definitely return.

Visited the hotel several times as part of a guest pass included with Swanlodges. They definitely need to make the single track road wider to get in and out of the place. Was carnage with cars moving both ways !1. Pool quiet, small with steam and sauna. Spotlessly clean pool area. Free pool towels nice touch. 17M pool with life guard. Staff lovely.1a. Free pool table we loved in the leisure club too.2. Visited the coffee nest. Not so good. Cramped seats, 20 minutes to get served. Food nice, after 15 minute wait, but tables tiny and no room for all the plates and cups etc.Service cold and formal. Food was nice but service disappointing.

No children allowed! We saw the big advertising banners out on the road saying “pop in for coffee” and advertising afternoon tea, so stopped for a walk around the grounds and something to eat and drink. The grounds are lovely and there’s some nice walks you can follow.Afterwards we walked up to the terrace where they appeared to be serving food and drinks to a handful of people (lots of empty tables). We sat down with my 3 year old, and ordered some cream teas with a waitress. As we weren’t staying there she said we needed to pop inside to pay, so my mum went inside. A few minutes after she got back, another lady came outside and told us that children weren’t allowed and that we couldn’t stay! My mum had to go back inside to get a refund, while our food and drinks then came out and I had to explain to my child that we weren’t able to stay and have them!I understand that some hotels might be adult only but there should have been some signs up explaining this (especially up on the advertising banners on the road) and we should have been told before we placed and paid for our order!! Very disappointing, especially having had our food bought out and not being able to eat it!

We were a party of 10 who have been regularly meeting up twice a year at one of the Warners hotels. As per previous experiences we thoroughly enjoyed the entertainments and grounds and overall facilities. The service at Cricket St Thomas however was very disappointing for Warners, with the exception of our table waiter. There were staff shortages during our weekend resulting in the Terrace bar being closed some evenings and service in the lounge area was poor, again due to the lack of sufficient staff. The beds in 2 of our rooms were very uncomfortable and duvet covers were well below acceptable standards. The food was generally quite goodfelt that overall it was not up to the usual Warners standard.Hopefully the management will address these areas as it is such a wonderful location.

Sadly after visiting here a long time ago I found the place in general in need of smartening up. The corridors everywhere we walked and we did a lot of walking as it was a long way from our rooms to the main reception were tatty. My room had marks on the walls and looked like it needed a good clean. Bits on the carpets when I arrived and still there when I left. Some staff very pleasant others not so. Warners do offer good value for money but felt a bit more customer/staff relationships should be encouraged.

It's a very nice place to stay and it's clean and tidy, The food was excellent, The room was nice and clean, The only downside was that there was not enough bar staff in the evening downstairs in the theatre, meaning long queues, a big shower tout for two members of staff that did run the bar,

Beautiful setting Grounds and gardens absolutely stunning. Accommodation and food outstanding. Service at the bars for food and drink during the day was very poor. They operate a table service which is very slow and requires a member of staff to notice you and take your order. Maybe an app based order system would work better? Didn't spoil our holiday too much though.

Rooms fine but starting to look shabby ... curtains are getting threadbare. Food, not bad but they could keep the food hotter ... It was tepid rather than hot. Issues with the timing of meals wasn't expected: having booked times, turn up to be told we're late! No we aren't, your systems changed our times!!! Leisure center, closing time meant we couldn't enjoy the facilities while attending the events we'd booked for.
