Good menu choice for lunches or diners. We ate in the restaurant once during our stay as we like to be out later at this time of the year and explore other dining opportunities. Our meal was excellent. We were in the stable annexe during our stay. The room was a reasonable size with a powerful shower, certainly no shortage of hot water. The bed was comfortable. Toni on reception was very friendly and helpful and an asset to the hotel.

We stayed here for two nights and upgraded to one of their rooms with a four poster.|Room was eight at the front of the main building above the bar. Despite this there was no noise from the bar or the road. …

A little dated and basic but had all the amenities you would need for a short stay.|Food was average.|We stayed in a room that was next to an external door, everytime someone came in or out it would bang pretty loudly. …

The walls are paper thin and the floorboards are extremely loud leading to a very poor sleep if the neighbour decides to watch Tv, have a phone call or shower. The staff are friendly. The rooms are reletively comfortable although outdated however this is likely in keeping with the age of the property. Access is easy. Food is standard Greene King quality so nothing special and prices are quite steep - £4 for a pint of coke.

I don’t normally leave reviews, but there’s some incredibly unfair reviews on here, which seemed unfair, so I hope to balance it out somewhat. We found the room to be clean and modern and the facilities were good. Shower was hot and powerful. Not sure what required an update to be honest.
