We really enjoyed our stay here. The staff were faultless; very accommodating and friendly. Peaceful garden area. Our room was spacious, clean and the floor was creaky up on the 3rd floor. …

• The room was overall ok. The double bed was small for 2 people (my partner’s feet couldn’t fit and he is 5’7). So we didn’t have a restful night. The room was had was quite small but quiet. There was a small wardrobe with hair dryer and ironing board, a kettle with some biscuits and teas. Bathroom was ok. Unfortunately we found a few insects in the room and bathroom. The decoration is very basic and a bit outdated so it doesn’t fit with the hotel’s atmosphere.• The hotel is nice and has some charm with the big wooden staircase. There was some scaffolding when we were there but we could still enjoy the character of the building. There is a small garden with tables and a bench near a massive tree to enjoy the view or have some vitamin D.• The hotel is on top of a steep hill. We didn’t expect that when we came from the station. Some people who are not fit will struggle and should either get a cab or bus. However, I really enjoyed this hilly walk as it is the charm of Bath. We could also appreciate nice views. The area is quiet and beautiful. The hotel is about 10 min walk from the centre. There are a few good restaurants and bars about 10 minutes walk too.• The highlight of our stay was the evening at the bar. The barman was extremely friendly and helpful. He offered to make cocktails which were not on the menu for guests and also tried to satisfy the client’s needs. The bar had nice comfortable chairs with relaxing music and vibe. The common areas were far better than the room we had.

Centrally located historic building. Room 322 was spacious but a bit tired and the bed was 2 placed together so not ideal with a partner as the join was uncomfortable. Duvet too thick for summer. Spacious shower with good pressure. Great view of the city. Good cooked breakfast.

The hotel is well located in the city so that the centre is accessible by walking or public transit. Unfortunately, the facility is dated and is not 'friendly' to anyone with mobility issues. …

Lovely hotel with parking. Staff very engaging and helpful. Nothing too much trouble and interested to ensure we had a great stay.||Currently undergoing external renovations. Building is scaffolded but didn't affect our stay as works only seemed to be going on until 4pm which is when we checked in.

Staff were really helpful when I had an issue with the room (the door wouldn’t lock) and sorted it out straight away. The room was really nice and the bar was nice too. I had a lovely stay.

Very cool older hotel with funny little step ups all over on every level. Our family of 3 was accomodated in a spacious, pretty room overlooking Bath. Very nice bathroom. Everything was clean and quite up scale. Staff were amazing! So friendly and helpful. Loved our stay!

This is a nice hotel with friendly staff. The rooms are nice and pretty well maintained with only a few negatives I could point out such as stains on the carpets. The staff are accommodating and very friendly upon arrival. The one thing that really disappoints here is the breakfast. At £24 it is completely overpriced for what you get as it is a standard breakfast with standard produce which you would find at any basic chain hotel. I also found that the staff serving breakfast were not around to serve resulting in a long wait to be seated and a que forming but overall a nice place.
