Lovely area and building. Great communication pre visit but didn’t see anyone and actively discouraged from contacting anyone unless emergency. Left to try and work out problems if there are any on your. …

Stayed 3 nights in room 3. No staff met or seen whatsoever. No biscuits for first 2 nights. Room not serviced during our stay, not even the bins emptied or bed made. Two clean towels replaced and tea coffee only topped up on last day, nothing else done. Loose toilet seat not repaired despite reported. Room stank, mould in shower, very noisy fridge, ran out of loo roll, kettle would not switch off. Location is on a very busy roundabout with the cafe for breakfast being a few hundred yards walk away (had to drive there having a disabled wife) look at the bad reviews on booking.com before staying there. All the faults with the room had been reported previously over a year ago. Much nicer places to stay than this neglected place.

Lock key check in worked very well in both the main door and room door. However, Room 6, top of the stairs, lovely view but smelt horrible on arrival of either dogs or stale water.  …

Lovely rooms and café onsite. However, having done the parkrun chaos in the cafe after led to our breakfast order being lost and delivered very late. A quick call to ask for a 15 minute extension on checkout was dealt with a brusque and inconsiderate manner. Bit much when the problem was caused by the organisation and not us.
