Donna and counterpart were so accomadating ts not nearly funny, lovely warm atmosphere, warm hotel tbf, I was cold in Rome, this is cosy. If your an LFC fan there's a suprise in store, if not don't worry, it's not touted as a fan base, just memorabilia. Clean, warm, can't do enough for you. Maybe a off the Web treat if you call. We are going back and I can't wait. Convenient location also, main drag Into city, £4/5 in a cab. Go.. you won't regret it.

Westayed at newsham park guest house three years ago.Place was lovely cooked breakfast had a great time..So on that basis I decided as we needed to be in liverpool for the legends game we would stay again..However, the newsham have joined with castle lodge and oh my that needs to be torn down and rebuilt and start again..Disgraceful..For a start it was dirty, carpet was filthy washbasin in room was filthy and mirror also and even the three piece draw set..The room looked like it had not been cleaned in a month!! If i had of seen the room before paying i would have walked out..£37 each for the twin room and no cooked breakfast... I could go on about how bad it was but suffice to say we wont be staying at the castle lodge again and i wont be recommending anyone staying there now or in the future...

My daughter and I stayed for 1 night following a ghost hunt at nearby Newsham Park Hospital. I booked our room a few weeks in advance and the only room available was a family room at a reduced cost of £100 from £200, cash on arrival. When we arrived, the host was warm, welcoming and friendly and took my cash almost immediately before being shown to 'suite 7'. Suite 7 comprised of 4 single beds, a kitchenette (old tea bags and the milk in tiny cartons had gone off so God only knows how long they'd been there), table and chairs and a bathroom (the door didn't close) Directly over 1 of the beds loomed a boiler, not enclosed with a switch hanging off the wall. The beds were awful - old, stained, smelled with disgusting brown bedding and duvets thinner than a panty liner. The pillows were so badly stained we had to cover them with equally awful brown towels. The ancient bright red carpet hadn't seen a hoover since dinosaurs roamed the earth. Breakfast was a cheap affair but at least the cereal and bread were fresh.
