This hotel is definitely recommended for men traveling alone. The room is clean. Although it does not have a bathtub,I have hot water in the shower. The cooler works. The staff is mainly female. It comes with a safety box, but it's not an electronic button type, but an analog type that requires turning a key. Close access to Bangla Street, Jungceylon, and Patong Beach is great. The water in the pool is very clean and there aren't many people swimming, so you can swim privately. The customers are European and American people in their 70s and older.Breakfast is simple but filling. Some Japanese people say that the price is high, but that's not true. The cause of the weak yen is the decline in the Japanese economy.

I've had the pleasure of staying at the Expat Hotel twice now, and each time I check out, I feel a bit of sadness. It’s hard to say goodbye to the incredible staff and the welcoming atmosphere that makes this place so special. The first visit was only a couple days, but yet returning a year later, the bartender remembered me and gave me a warm greeting.During the last few days of my trip, I found myself hardly wanting to leave—especially for someone like me who typically enjoys the nightlife on Bangla Road. Speaking of which, the hotel is just minutes away from one of the biggest party scenes in the world, yet it’s tucked away on a quiet street, offering a perfect balance. The hotel is filled with natural light, creating a bright and inviting ambiance. Unlike other hotels that are often overshadowed by larger buildings, the Expat Hotel stands out with its vibrant energy. Moving from my room to the pool to the bar is effortless, making it a truly enjoyable experience. Even though I’ve stayed at fancier hotels, I’ve never felt more at home than I do here. It’s just an amazing place!
