Beef Stroganoff Without Sour Cream

1 ½ pounds ground beef

1 onion, chopped

1 (8 ounce) can mushrooms, drained

1 tablespoon butter

1 clove garlic, minced

½ cup white wine

1/4 cup flour

1 (10.5 ounce) can cream of mushroom soup

½ (10.5 ounce) can beef broth, or more as needed

1 dash Worcestershire sauce, or to taste
Instructions

Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the ground beef, stirring frequently, for 5 to 7 minutes until browned and crumbly. Season with salt. Add the onions, mushrooms, butter, and garlic, cooking and stirring occasionally until the onions soften.

In a small bowl, mix together wine and flour until smooth. Pour the mixture over the beef and vegetable mixture in the skillet. Stir in the condensed soup and broth, then simmer for 10 to 15 minutes until thickened. Add more broth if the sauce becomes too thick. Season with Worcestershire sauce before serving.
