2 tablespoons butter, softened

6 slices Cheddar cheese
Instructions

Heat a large skillet over high heat.

Use a small biscuit cutter to make a hole in the center of each slice of bread. Butter one side of each slice. Grill the bread until golden brown. Crack an egg into each bread hole (taking care not to break the yolk). Season with salt and pepper. Place a slice of cheese on top of each egg, followed by the bread round. Cook until the egg reaches your preferred doneness.
