Ziti with Tomato Pesto Sauce

12 ounces ziti pasta

2 tablespoons pesto

1 (26 ounce) jar tomato basil pasta sauce

salt to taste

½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions

Boil a large pot of lightly salted water, then add the ziti pasta and cook until al dente, around 8 minutes. Drain the pasta.

In the meantime, heat the pesto and basil tomato sauce together in a saucepan over medium-low heat. Allow it to simmer and season with salt as desired. (Alternatively, heat the sauce in a microwave-safe dish on high for one minute.)

Place the cooked pasta into a large serving bowl, toss with the pesto-tomato sauce mixture, and sprinkle with freshly grated Parmesan cheese.
