4 Surprising Aspects of Our Cruise

This time, I wanted to share some of the unique experiences we had during our recent Caribbean trip aboard Dinogo. Both on the ship and during our excursions, we encountered so many delightful surprises that exceeded my expectations! As it was my first cruise, I didn't have much to rely on except for what friends and family had shared, making it all the more exciting to discover these things firsthand. Here are a few highlights I particularly enjoyed!

Culinary Delights

Food plays a significant role in every journey I embark on, and this trip was no exception. I was truly amazed by the variety of dining options available to us. A standout on the Dinogo Breeze was Tandoor, a wonderfully flavorful Indian restaurant that we found ourselves visiting multiple times throughout the cruise.

Other highlights included afternoon tea (I had no idea they offered this on cruises!) and tacos from BlueIguana, which I proudly indulged in at least once a day. Who can resist unlimited tacos?

A Peek into Local Life

I was initially concerned that I wouldn’t have enough time at each port to fully immerse myself in the local culture, but fortunately, we had ample opportunity to experience what each island had to offer. From sampling a local beer at every stop to venturing off the tourist track to explore hidden gems, this was one of the highlights of the trip. We had the chance to converse with locals, visit their favorite hangouts, and gain a better understanding of the places we hope to revisit.

By rising early (you can always nap on the beach later!) and disembarking the ship promptly on port days, we were able to make the most of our time for exploration. As a result, we discovered so much more than we anticipated.

Brunch at Sea

On every day at sea, we were treated to an incredible brunch experience. While it might seem like a minor detail, it became such a delightful and laid-back aspect of our journey. The menu featured brunch staples like eggs benedict and pancakes, along with some more adventurous choices. Most days, we’d request a window seat, enjoy a mimosa or two, and savor a leisurely, indulgent brunch. Brunch on land is fantastic, but brunch at sea takes it to another level.

Onboard Details
One of the aspects I appreciated most during the trip was the abundance of intricate details on the ship. From the distinctive bars to the running track and the spa, there were so many little touches that significantly enhanced my experience.

As someone who often creates overly meticulous plans when organizing trips, I find that the elements I cherish most are the delightful surprises that emerge spontaneously. In this instance, this couldn't have been more accurate. From starting my mornings with a run on the track to enjoying a leisurely brunch, these small touches contributed to a perfect experience aboard the ship.
