Whether you're looking to flee the summer heat in the mountains, witness the Aspens transform into vibrant gold in the fall, or enjoy fluffy powder during winter, Colorado is a top-tier choice. Fortunately, thanks to a thriving ski season, there’s a diverse range of home rentals available, often at reduced rates if you travel outside peak ski season or during major festivals (back when large festivals were still a thing).
Colorado Airbnbs provide a wide range of options, from charming cabins and serene ranches to expansive luxury estates close to ski slopes. While my family has enjoyed renting a fun 22-person house near Breckenridge, we haven't yet experienced these incredible Airbnbs in Colorado—though we'd gladly wiggle our noses and awaken in any of these seven unique, top selections.

3-bedroom Home with Private Skate Park near Aspen
Carbondale, Colorado
- Rates typically range from $150–$325 per night
- 4.85/5 star rating
While this may not be a sleek, high-end Scandinavian luxury home, teens might argue it’s even better. This three-bedroom house accommodates up to six guests, is quite affordable, and features its own skatepark and trampoline. If your kids (or you!) aren't into skating, it might not be for you, but for skaters and boarders, it’s a fantastic find with stunning 360-degree views.
(Image by Summer Hull/Dinogo)Carbondale is located about 30 miles from Aspen, so when you need a break from the skate park, you're just a short drive away from upscale activities, hiking, and the stunning Maroon Bells. (Just be sure not to make this mistake we did in Aspen.)

3-bedroom Victorian-style home in the center of Telluride
Telluride, Colorado
- Rates generally range from $600–$1,000+ per night
- Only one review thus far
I've always had -- and will continue to have -- a soft spot for Telluride. If you're not a fan of Telluride, we might not get along! While I've stayed at a delightful bed and breakfast in the heart of Telluride that I highly recommend, called Dunton Town House, having our own home in this iconic mountain town for a few days remains on my bucket list.
This three-bedroom, bright and airy Airbnb was constructed in 2017, yet it beautifully captures the classic Victorian-era charm of Telluride with a contemporary twist. It's just a short walk to the free gondola that whisks you up the mountain for skiing or to the mountain village area.

3-bedroom Cabin near Rocky Mountain National Park
Estes Park, Colorado
- Rates typically range from $175–$350 per night
- 5-star rating
While Rocky Mountain National Park is a must-see spot in Colorado, traditional hotel options are limited unless you're keen on reliving the vibes of The Shining at the Stanley Hotel. Instead, consider renting a house or cabin like this one, which features three bedrooms, an outdoor fire pit, and two patios.
It's also conveniently located just a half-mile walk to Estes Village and a quick 10-minute drive to Rocky Mountain National Park. (Don't forget to secure your reservations for park entry ahead of time!)

In conclusion
Colorado is tied with Hawaii as my favorite state to visit in the U.S. Whether it's peak winter ski season, spring skiing, summer adventures, or autumn views, I've always had a fantastic time in Colorado. While there are plenty of top points-friendly hotels available throughout the state, the thought of staying at one of these unique Airbnbs is incredibly appealing right now. Not only does it provide more social distance, but sharing a large home rental with friends or family significantly lowers the cost per person compared to booking multiple hotel rooms, even during the expensive ski season.
