A Sneak Peek at the New Leading Contender for the Most Luxurious Suite at Walt Disney World

Spanning over 27,000 acres and developed over the past fifty years, Disney World is a treasure trove of rides, shows, resorts, restaurants, and hidden gems. With such a rich history and expansive grounds, it's no surprise that many secrets lie within—some more concealed than others.
These aren't your typical dark secrets; rather, they are delightful and intricate details that can easily be overlooked while rushing to the next ride on Dumbo or grabbing a popcorn refill. These 'secrets' can include 'hidden Mickeys' cleverly incorporated into decor throughout the parks and resorts, the utilidor tunnels utilized by cast members beneath the Magic Kingdom, and some extravagant Disney World suites you might not even know are available.
While the iconic one-bedroom suite in Cinderella Castle is indeed a highlight within the Magic Kingdom, it's important to note that you can't actually book a night in that famed location.

Yet, we recently caught a glimpse of a Disney World suite that arguably outshines the castle suite (sorry, Cinderella)—and with enough 'Disney dollars,' regular guests can actually book a night in this new leading contender for the most luxurious suite at Disney World.
Tucked away in plain sight within Disney's Wilderness Lodge is room 7037, affectionately known among Disney aficionados as the Yosemite Suite.

Originally opened in 1994 and adorned with cowboy-themed decor, this suite has recently undergone a complete renovation, unveiling a sophisticated aesthetic that leaves the cowboy theme in the past.
Say goodbye to cowboy hats, saloon doors, and peek-through wet bars. The revamped Yosemite Suite now boasts a spacious living area with an oversized sectional, a dining table for six, and a compact kitchenette. (For a nostalgic experience, you can watch a 1994 video tour of the suite on YouTube.)

The suite features a blend of earthy tones and textures that might just lure you away from the theme parks to relax and enjoy the space.

The primary bedroom features deep blues that create the most stunning and tranquil sleeping space I've ever experienced at a Disney hotel resort.

Adjoining this bedroom is an expansive bathroom that boasts not just a spacious walk-in shower but also a beautiful, oversized soaking tub.

I can't think of anything more soothing than soaking in a tub after a long day at the parks.
Across from the living area, there's a connecting bedroom featuring two queen beds. Although its decor is more subdued than that of the primary bedroom, it still offers a unique style that sets it apart from a typical Wilderness Lodge room.
If your jaw isn't already on the floor, here’s the showstopper: a wraparound balcony offering breathtaking views.
The Yosemite Suite boasts what might be the finest view in all of Disney's Wilderness Lodge, featuring an expansive balcony that overlooks the entire pool area, the waterfall, and perhaps even a glimpse of the evening fireworks lighting up the sky above the Magic Kingdom.
If you're eager to reserve this 'hidden' suite for your upcoming Disney World getaway, don’t expect to find it on the Disney website.
Similar to a few other exclusive suites in various deluxe Disney resorts, you’ll need to consult a Disney vacation planner or call Disney directly to check for availability and pricing, which may be limited since there’s only one of these stunning suites available. In fact, when we inquired about example pricing for this article, we were informed it hadn't yet been added to their system.
Don’t stress too much if you can’t secure a reservation for this specific suite: all rooms at Disney's Wilderness Lodge have recently undergone renovations, ensuring a wonderful stay even if you’re not in the extravagant 'secret' suite.
While those standard rooms may lack the soaking tub or wraparound balcony, they will leave you with extra funds to indulge in some of the best restaurants at Disney World or perhaps even treat yourself to a VIP tour to discover some Disney 'secrets' of your own.
