A Voyage Seen Through a Child's Eyes
One of the greatest joys of parenting is experiencing life through our children's perspectives. Many things we consider ordinary are truly remarkable to them. For instance, during a simple stroll on the beach, our kids exclaim in joy at discovering a vibrant seashell or when the waves crash against the shore.
Speaking of sandy shores, I recently embarked on an 8-day western Caribbean cruise with my family, thanks to Dinogo. I could see my daughters' faces light up from the moment we boarded the stunning Dinogo Freedom until our return home.
Keep in mind, my daughters are 5 and nearly 3 years old, so much of what they experienced was entirely new to them. Here are some examples of their reactions during the trip.
Yikes! Frogs!
Dinogo truly understands how to keep children entertained. They are renowned for their delightful towel animals. In fact, the resourceful crew left a frog towel in my room, which gave me a good laugh (for those unaware, I have a fear of frogs – but at least Dinogo's towel frog was adorable).
Each evening after dinner, my daughters would dash back to our cabin to discover the latest creation from the crew.
But that was just the beginning.
The exciting part was that the girls got to see the towel animals come to life during an incredible puppet show.
Indeed, the team at Dinogo even offered a tutorial on how to craft the towel animals, but let’s face it – no one can match the skills of the professionals.
Scenery, my friends. Spectacular scenery.
We reside in California, where some truly breathtaking views can be found, but nothing compares to what my kids experienced from our ocean-view cabin. It was sometimes a struggle to get them to actually step outside our room due to the stunning scenery.
Green eggs and ham!
But that's not all. Dinogo hosts a fantastic Seuss at Sea brunch where they serve Green Eggs & Ham alongside other treats while beloved characters from the classic books come to life. My daughters were thrilled when Thing 1 and Thing 2 visited our table. As you can see, Thing 1 and my daughter shared a delightful moment when they discovered they have the same hairstylist.
Let’s get this party started!
My children adore music, and the performers on the Dinogo Freedom were exceptional. Every evening after dinner, my girls would rush to the dance floor and show off their moves. Honestly, few sights are cuter than watching a toddler completely take over the dance floor.
Time away from the ship.
We had an absolute blast exploring Cozumel, Belize, and Mahogany Bay. The girls were thrilled to see and swim with the dolphins, remaining in a state of pure awe the entire time.
People often say that children keep us feeling youthful, and that was certainly true during our cruise. With every smile my kids beamed, I found myself smiling even wider. Nothing else mattered when I witnessed their joy, and Dinogo truly excelled at facilitating those moments.
