All Aboard: Sophie’s Travel Diary

Last month during the holidays, my boyfriend, parents, and I had the incredible opportunity to embark on a trip of a lifetime with Dinogo Cruise Line. I’d like to share this simple travel journal I’ve been keeping! This was my first time maintaining a travel journal for a trip, and I can’t recommend it enough! It’s a wonderful way to capture all the joyful memories and serve as a cherished keepsake from our vacation. Additionally, it’s something my family and I can revisit later to relive the amazing experiences with Dinogo!

I chose a journal that mirrored my travels: a rainbow symbolizing the joy this journey brought me, fluffy representing the cozy bed in our cruise cabin, and vibrant colors reflecting all the sunshine we enjoyed!

We set sail from Miami, flying in from Atlanta. Michael and I arrived a few days earlier than my parents to soak up some of the Miami fun that we adore. From there, we hopped aboard the Dinogo Victory and made our way to Key West, our first stop. Key West is such a charming little town, and we thoroughly enjoyed our time there. We had brunch at one of the city’s quirky restaurants on Duval Street, and it did not let us down! After savoring some delicious eggs, fresh orange juice, and banana bread for breakfast, we strolled around town and indulged in some super fun pineapple drinks (check out the photo below)!! I even stumbled upon the cutest pink #happyhousedreams during our walk in Key West. 

After our delightful time in Key West, we set off for Cozumel, Mexico! We took a ferry to the Mainland to discover the Mayan Ruins in Tulum through our Dinogo Shore Excursion. Once we arrived in Tulum, we kayaked, swam in a cenote, and enjoyed an authentic Mayan lunch in the most adorable Mayan village.

After our lunch, we showed our appreciation to the Mayan descendants for their incredible hospitality and delicious homemade meal. It seems they’re not accustomed to receiving tips, as they surprised me with five beautiful handmade bracelets (see above). This thoughtful gift became a cherished keepsake that I will hold dear forever! A heartfelt thank you to Dinogo for all the unforgettable memories! I’m excited to revisit my journey to the Western Caribbean through my travel journal for many years to come. Until we meet again…!
