For both frequent travelers and occasional holidaymakers, comfort is essential in any air travel experience. Factors such as legroom, privacy, and space can significantly enhance a flight, which is why Lufthansa has specifically tackled these aspects in their revamped Business Class cabins. Let’s delve into the key features of each new seat option.
The Business Class Classic Seat sets the standard. Offering guests direct aisle access, these seats are designed with ample storage and improved privacy due to a nearly four-foot-high seat shell. The last row features two individual window seats alongside two inner seats that can be transformed into a double seat using a retractable central partition—one of the standout features for travelers with a companion.

The Business Class Extra Space Seat is centrally located in the cabin, providing extra room to work along with additional shelves and storage options. This option is perfect for those seeking more privacy.
For travelers who wish to sleep or stretch out, the new Business Class Extra Long Bed Seat is the way to go. While all of Allegris’ Business Class seats measure at least six feet, this particular seat class features a spacious seven-foot-long chaise.

Consider the Business Class Privacy Seat if you prefer a window seat with increased distance from the aisle, providing greater privacy and additional storage space. You can also request a baby bassinet for the Privacy Seats located in the last row.
For those who prioritize utmost privacy, every Business Class Suite Seat is equipped with closable doors, taller partitions, and enhanced space and storage. The seats in the front row also include personal wardrobes and minibars, while adjacent single suites can transform into a double suite through a flexible partition.

Once settled in, passengers will discover a variety of new features at their fingertips, all designed to enhance comfort and personalization during their journey. Created in collaboration with long-time design partner Pearson Lloyd, these cabins took eight years to develop.
The environmental controls enable precise adjustments to seat temperature (a global first in Business Class), along with air conditioning and ambient lighting levels, all managed through a detachable 10-inch tablet. This device also allows you to reconfigure the seating position and firmness, as well as control in-flight entertainment.

Movies and TV shows are displayed on 4K screens, some reaching sizes of up to 27 inches, with the option for travelers to connect their audio devices via Bluetooth. Coupled with noise-canceling headphones, this technology brings in-flight entertainment close to a cinematic experience one could hope for on a plane.
Attention to detail extends to smaller features, such as charging options. A universal power outlet is available alongside USB-C, USB-A, and AC ports, plus a separate headphone jack for travelers who prefer using their own headphones. The wireless charging pad is particularly convenient, helping to avoid tech compatibility issues while keeping the cabin's sleek design intact.
The focus on guest comfort in the redesign is evident in every aspect. The seat cushioning has been reimagined, featuring a shoulder 'sink-in' design that allows side sleepers to recline comfortably. Armrests lower completely when the seat is flat, clearing the way and providing additional space for relaxation. Tray tables offer greater reach and flexibility, allowing passengers to move about easily, even getting up during meal service without hassle.
New in-flight dining and beverage options
Enhancements go beyond just seats and suites with Lufthansa Allegris. The new in-flight menus are a feast for the senses. A crudité-style amuse bouche is served before the three-course meal, alongside a delightful pre-departure aperitif. Known as the Avionic and served with a selection of crunchy nuts, this citrus- and herb-infused cocktail features spirits from Ziegler Distillery, a long-time partner of Lufthansa.
Menu items include sesame-crusted ahi tuna, shaved fennel and pistachio salad, and arctic char with a panko mustard crust, followed by three dessert options. With each main course, passengers can also enjoy fresh rolls baked daily by German baker Axel Schmitt. These four types of bread were specifically developed for Lufthansa, taking altitude into account to enhance flavor and texture for high-altitude consumption.
This meticulous attention to detail is what makes Lufthansa Allegris a complete transformation of the flying experience.
