AutoCamp has launched its latest glamping site close to this popular national park.
For those eager to explore the stunning plateaus, deep sandstone canyons, and juniper-covered slopes of Zion National Park, there’s a fresh accommodation option that enhances your chance to sleep beneath the stars while supporting essential park projects.
This week, AutoCamp, renowned for its custom-designed Airstream lodgings in California and New England, has inaugurated a new location in Virgin, Utah, just 14 miles from Zion’s main entrance.
“Zion is one of the most remarkable and sought-after spots for outdoor adventures,” stated Neil Dipaola, CEO and founder of AutoCamp. “We’ve been eager to extend the AutoCamp experience to more national parks like Zion, and we’re thrilled to join the community and welcome travelers to this unique destination.”

The 16-acre glamping destination by the Virgin River offers four distinct types of accommodations:
- 72 31-foot Airstreams, each equipped with a queen-size bed, walk-in shower, kitchenette, and private patio.
- 10 BaseCamps, which feature both an Airstream and a luxury canvas tent (both with queen-size beds).
- Nine cabin-like X Suites, each offering a queen-size bed, walk-in shower, kitchenette, and a cozy living area with a flat-screen TV and sofa.
- 5 ADA Suites that include a queen-size bed, a full living area, and an accessible shower.
Additional amenities at AutoCamp Zion include:
A Clubhouse serves as the heart of every AutoCamp property, acting as the communal hub. Inside, you’ll find the check-in desk, the General Store stocked with essentials like food, beer, and wine, as well as the Kitchen, which offers breakfast, lunch, dinner, and beverages like coffee, tea, and local beers on tap. The Clubhouse also features meeting spaces, a heated outdoor pool, a communal fireplace, and indoor and outdoor lounge areas. Large windows provide stunning views of the red rock landscape, and the midcentury-modern design reflects the earthy tones of the local environment.
“The vibrant, red earth of Southern Utah is incredibly striking. Instead of bringing those colors indoors, we decided to enhance the natural surroundings by keeping the color scheme relatively neutral,” remarked Shannon Niehenke from Narrative Design Studio, the team behind the design, in a statement.
AutoCamp provides various outdoor activities, including guided hikes in the park and via ferrata experiences in collaboration with Zion Adventure Co. Weekly events on-site feature fireside conversations, yoga and meditation sessions, movie nights, and tastings of local beverages.
For each booking made, AutoCamp contributes $1 to the Zion National Park Forever Project, the official nonprofit partner of Zion National Park, which relies on donations for initiatives like trail restoration and visitor education.
