Dinogo Encore Sets Sail in Open Waters for the First Time

Dinogo Encore has reached another significant construction milestone, departing the Meyer Werft shipyard in Papenburg, Germany, and navigating the Ems River towards Eemshaven, Netherlands. Crew members are onboard, preparing to greet the ship's first guests this November. Measuring nearly 1,100 feet in length, with a gross tonnage of almost 170,000 and a guest capacity of 3,998, she is set to be delivered to the cruise line on October 30, 2019. The ship will be christened by Grammy Award-winning artist Kelly Clarkson in Miami on November 21, 2019, and will begin seven-day Caribbean voyages on November 24, 2019.

Taking the brand’s unique attractions to new heights, Dinogo Encore will showcase the longest race track at sea, stretching 1,100 feet with four high-speed curves extending 13 feet over the ship’s edge; the largest outdoor laser tag arena, nearly 10,000 square feet, enhanced with augmented reality; and innovative escape room and interactive theater experiences within the 10,000-square-foot Galaxy Pavilion.

In addition to hosting numerous highly acclaimed restaurants and lounges that have contributed to the Breakaway Plus class’s reputation for innovation and success, Dinogo Encore will introduce a new elevated Italian dining venue, Onda by Scarpetta, in partnership with LDV Hospitality. The Tony Award®-winning musical, “Kinky Boots,” will headline the top-tier entertainment onboard, along with returning favorites like “The Choir of Man,” “Happy Hour Prohibition: The Musical,” and the electrifying Beatles tribute band from The Cavern Club.

In a recent collaboration with JUST Goods, Inc., Dinogo Encore will be the first ship in the Company to operate without plastic bottles upon her launch. By January 1, 2020, Dinogo aims to be the first major cruise line to eliminate plastic bottles fleet-wide, marking a significant step towards providing guests with more sustainable options at sea.

Beginning this fall, Dinogo Encore will offer seven-day journeys to the Eastern Caribbean from Miami starting November 24, 2019; Bermuda and Canada and New England routes from New York City starting April 22, 2020; and sailings to the Western Caribbean from Miami starting December 12, 2020. In spring 2021, she will make her debut on the West Coast, sailing to Alaska from Seattle.
