Disney has officially announced the opening date for Avengers Campus.

Great news—the Avengers are nearly ready to assemble at Disney's California Adventure Park in Anaheim.

There are even more reasons to plan a summer visit to Disneyland and California Adventure.

California welcomed back amusement parks for state residents starting April 1, 2021, with Disney expecting to officially reopen Disneyland on April 30.

We’ve just received word that the highly anticipated Avengers Campus at Disney California Adventure Park will debut on June 4, 2021, shortly after the Disneyland parks reopen.

What to anticipate

Disney characterizes this upcoming area as "immersive" in all things Avengers-related.

This experience goes beyond just snapping photos with the Avengers; it allows kids (and adults) to step into the shoes of their favorite superheroes like Iron Man, Black Widow, Black Panther, Spider-Man, Ant-Man, and more. There will be a family-friendly ride called "Web Slingers: A Spider-Man Adventure," where guests of all heights can participate in an interactive experience reminiscent of Toy Story Mania! In this attraction, you'll team up with Spider-Man to collect Spider-Bots using your web-slinging skills.

Avengers Campus will complement the existing Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: Breakout! ride at California Adventure, which was transformed from the former Tower of Terror attraction a few years ago.

The Avengers will be seen throughout the campus, performing their heroic duties to protect the world. This includes a Spider-Man "stuntronic" that shoots webs, enabling him to flip and "fly" high above Avengers Campus. Tom Holland will reprise his role as Spider-Man using cutting-edge technology specifically developed for this attraction.

Keep an eye out for the real Spider-Man, not just in virtual appearances, as he swings above Avengers Campus with incredible stunts never before showcased at any Disney theme park.

Avengers Campus also features Doctor Strange, who invites guests to visit his ancient sanctum, where he trains recruits in the mystic arts. Be sure to check out the sanctum at night, when it shimmers with mystical energy!

Dining options inspired by the Avengers

At Avengers Campus, you'll discover Pym Test Kitchen—named after the Pym from Ant-Man and the Wasp, who has the ability to shrink and enlarge objects. It’s no surprise that the menu features both "supersized" and "supershrunk" dishes, including large and tiny meatballs served with pasta. You can also find adult beverages at the Pym Tasting Lab, and both dining spots offer mobile ordering via the Disneyland app.

Additional dining choices at Avengers Campus include the beloved food carts: Shawarma Palace and Taneleer Tivan, favorites among the Avengers.

The Courtyard Anaheim Theme Park Entrance is another fantastic option, complete with a waterpark, but it is more expensive as a Category 7 Marriott.
