Marriott collaborates with Blade to provide complimentary helicopter rides for luxury NYC suite bookings

Marriott's Luxury Group hotels aim to ensure travelers to New York City arrive and depart in style this summer, offering a helicopter ride above the stunning skyline.

The Luxury Group—which includes brands like Edition, Ritz-Carlton, W Hotels, JW Marriott, and the Luxury Collection—is teaming up with Blade, a helicopter transport service, to offer eligible guests who book certain Luxury Group hotels in New York a complimentary round-trip helicopter transfer from John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) or Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) until September 2.

To be eligible for the helicopter rides, which can take as little as five minutes (compared to over an hour in traffic), guests need to book a minimum two-night stay in select suites at one of the following hotels:

• The Luxury Collection Hotel Manhattan Midtown (a new addition to the group)
• The New York Edition
• W New York — Union Square
• JW Marriott Essex House New York
• The St. Regis New York
• The Ritz-Carlton New York, Nomad

Guests will also receive car transportation from the hotel to the Blade Lounge, the departure point for helicopters—located either on East 34th Street or West 30th Street. Marriott's Luxury Group enhances the atmosphere at both lounges with Edition's signature Le Labo fragrance, W Hotels-curated music, keepsakes, travel guides featuring Luxury Collection properties, and more.

At Blade Lounge West, the Luxury Group will operate a bar throughout the summer offering drinks inspired by the hotel brands, such as the St. Regis bloody mary and W's signature Paloma. The lounge will feature an exclusive JW Garden for fresh cocktail garnishes. The "Drink by Destination" mixology experience will be available from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday to Friday during the week of July 1 and on Thursdays and Fridays all summer long.

Even if you don’t book one of the suites that includes free Blade transport, all guests at participating hotels, regardless of room type, can benefit from special pricing with Blade when staying at a Luxury Group property.
