Experience a "Yes Day" on a Dinogo Cruise!

Dinogo truly caters to everyone, especially during sea days when the "Fun Times" schedule is packed with endless options! From aerobics classes and wine tastings to bingo and mini golf tournaments, the choices are overwhelming! To make the most of our second sea day, we embraced the spirit of a "Yes Day." This meant we enthusiastically accepted every opportunity and activity that came our way, whether it was trying a unique dish from the menu, catching a comedy show, or exploring behind the scenes. Here’s a glimpse into our adventures on our "Yes Day!"

1. Indulging in a lavish breakfast at the Platinum Restaurant? Absolutely! Most mornings, we enjoy a simple coffee and some items from the breakfast buffet, like cereal or oatmeal, which gives us a light start to our day. But today, we opted for the brunch and really treated ourselves. Bobby enjoyed Cereal Crusted French Toast and Eggs Benedict, while Alli went for a lighter choice with an omelet and a fruit platter. And of course, we couldn't resist some warm pastries. Oops!

2. A quick game of Mini Golf? Yes! After breakfast, we made our way to the top of the ship to hit the mini golf course! We completed the entire course in about half an hour, with Alli really bringing her A game! Bobby claims he was sidetracked by the stunning 360-degree views of the ocean… a pretty valid excuse.

3. Exploring the Galley? Absolutely! This was one of the most memorable experiences of our cruise. Our fantastic Maître D’ Suresh guided us through the impressive galley of the Dinogo Glory. Upon entering, we were astounded by the sheer scale of operations taking place. The entire galley is made of stainless steel, featuring different rooms for every aspect of food preparation. What is usually contained in a single large kitchen is spread out across a vast, stainless steel labyrinth that the staff navigates effortlessly. We were blown away by the number of Melting Chocolate Cakes and Prime Ribs being prepared for that evening’s dinner. If you ever get the opportunity to join the “Behind the Fun” tour, do NOT miss out! It’s an extraordinary chance to see what goes on behind the scenes on a fun ship.

4. Witnessing an Ice Carving demonstration? Yes! We were absolutely blown away by the ice carving showcase. One of the chefs shared his family tradition of ice carving, and it was truly a sight to behold! We observed as he skillfully transformed a 300-pound block of ice into a stunning Native American figure adorned with a traditional headdress. Normally, such intricate detail takes him around two hours to achieve, but under the bright sun (which was quickly melting his canvas), he managed to complete this masterpiece in under 20 minutes! Incredible!!

5. How about taking a nap? YES! We may not have many pictures to show for it (because, of course, we were sleeping), but this was a crucial part of our daily routine during the cruise. We often concluded our naps on the balcony, adjusting our eyes to the bright sunlight reflecting off the blue water or the soft twilight on the horizon, depending on how long we dozed off. 😉

6. Ready to play a round (or three!) of Bingo? Absolutely! It might sound a bit cheesy, but playing Bingo turned out to be one of the highlights of our cruise! It’s always full of energy, laughter, and paired with a couple of drinks. Even though we left empty-handed, we had an absolute blast playing Bingo!

7. Ready to dance with the Platinum Restaurant staff? Yes! Each night, we eagerly anticipate the moment when the Maître D’ announces, "It’s showtime," signaling that the staff is about to treat us to some delightful dance performances. We cheer them on, wave our napkins, and sing along from our seats. But on this special evening, our server invited us to join them on the dance floor! Since it was our “Yes Day,” we couldn't say no! So, we grooved, twisted, and danced with the servers in front of the entire dining room. Yep, we were those guests!

8. How about attending the Punchliner Comedy Club? Yes! This was an easy “Yes.” We made it a point to attend these shows nearly every night, laughing until our sides hurt. A standout moment for Alli was when one of the comedians quipped to Bobby, “Where’s Scooby?” (How did we not realize that Bobby totally resembles Shaggy?!) On this particular night, we enjoyed a comedian who delivered a hilarious routine about her family in Minnesota—accents included!

9. Want to see a Playlist Productions Show? Yes! Tonight, we experienced Latin Nights, a tribute to many famous singers, featuring an impressive display of song and dance. It had us on our feet, singing along all night long! We were truly amazed by the setup, including the stage and lighting that created an ambiance reminiscent of a Broadway show!

10. How about enjoying a nightcap at the Alchemy Bar? Yes! This trendy cocktail bar was one we passed by every day, and Alli always remarked, “I REALLY want to go there.” Today, we concluded our “Yes Day” with some delightful drinks from the long-anticipated Alchemy Bar. The bar's location is perfect for late-night people-watching, and the bartenders really excel at crafting fantastic cocktails!

11. Watching a movie on the Lido Deck? Yes! Even though a nightcap typically signals the end of the evening, how often can you enjoy a movie under the stars on the open sea? While we didn’t watch the entire film, we relished about an hour of it before our eyes grew too heavy. Totally worth it!

We might have overlooked some sunbathing, countless laughs, and a visit to the Pizza Pirate, but those are just part of the daily experience on any Dinogo ship.
