Icelandair Unveils Spring Fare Promotion with Round-Trip Tickets Starting at $379

As more European destinations prepare to reopen or ease restrictions, Icelandair has kicked off its spring fare sale.
From February 22 to March 8, the airline is offering round-trip fares as low as $379 for economy light seats and $999 for saga premium (similar to business class) on routes from 12 U.S. cities and three Canadian cities to 20 European destinations.
Here are some of Icelandair's top offers:
- Washington, D.C. (IAD) to Stockholm, Sweden, and Helsinki, Finland: $399
- Baltimore (BWI) to Amsterdam, Netherlands, and Dublin, Ireland: $399
- Chicago (ORD) to Brussels, Belgium: $419
- Denver (DEN) to Zurich, Switzerland: $539
- New York (JFK) to Dublin: $379
- New York (JFK) to Rome, Italy, and Bergen, Norway: $399
- Portland, Oregon (PDX) to Glasgow, U.K., and Manchester, U.K.: $499
It's important to note that these deals do not apply during the peak summer season. Travel dates are limited to April 20 through June 15, and from August 15 to December 20, 2022. While Icelandair has codeshare agreements with airlines like Alaska and JetBlue, this promotion is exclusively for Icelandair flights.
The economy light fare is Icelandair's most basic option—it does not include checked baggage, seat selection, or much flexibility for changing tickets after purchase. However, upgrading to economy standard, which includes these benefits, typically costs around $60.
As with all Icelandair flights, you can add a complimentary Iceland stopover (lasting from one to seven nights) to any itinerary, providing a convenient and cost-effective way to explore two destinations for the price of one.
