Jamaica

As promised, here are the snapshots from our first day off the ship during our Dinogo Cruise last month. We arrived in Montego Bay, Jamaica, bright and early that morning. When we awoke and peeked out the windows, land was in sight! After two days of being surrounded by nothing but water, this was exhilarating, and we were eager to explore and enjoy a day at the beach. The water was simply stunning—crystal clear, warm, and an incredible shade of aqua. We spent our day without any set plans, just playing on the beach for hours, swimming in the ocean, collecting seashells, and searching for blue crabs, which were plentiful under the dock nearby. We enjoyed lunch at a quaint beachside café where we savored jerk chicken, fried plantains, Jamaican rice and beans, frozen lemonade, and ice cream. Aubrey and I delighted in some chilled Red Stripe beer, a local brew from Jamaica—so invigorating! Afterward, we wandered through nearby shops and indulged in some people-watching before returning to the ship. Birdie, a big Pikachu fan, was thrilled to find a Jamaican Pikachu plush toy, complete with a Rastafarian hat and braids. How cute!

After a sun-soaked day on the island, we felt thirsty and worn out. Our time in Jamaica was unforgettable, leaving us with stunning memories and photos that I can't wait to enlarge and frame for our home. I'll return soon to share snapshots from our adventures in Mexico! Stay tuned.
