Norwegian Cruise Line maintains its 100% vaccination requirement until the end of the year
Norwegian Cruise Line has prolonged its policy mandating full vaccination for all passengers by an additional two months, now until December 31, 2021.
The initial deadline for this requirement, part of the line's Sail Safe protocols, was October 31. Norwegian remains the only cruise line dedicated to 100% vaccination of both passengers and crew on all voyages departing from the United States.
"Guided by internationally recognized public health authorities and prioritizing the health and safety of our guests, crew, and the communities we visit, we have opted to extend the vaccination requirement for all cruises until December 31, 2021," the line stated. "Guests who are not yet eligible for vaccination will be unable to join these voyages. We look forward to the FDA expanding age eligibility for vaccinations so we can welcome these guests back aboard soon."

"All guests embarking on cruises with departure dates through December 31, 2021, must be fully vaccinated at least two weeks before sailing," the line states in its Sail Safe FAQ section. "The combination of vaccines and comprehensive preventative health measures, including universal COVID-19 testing before boarding, will ensure a uniquely safe and healthy vacation experience that we believe surpasses all other land and sea options."
Passengers must verify their vaccination status before the cruise and bring proof of vaccination on embarkation day. Passengers, including those under 12 who are not eligible for vaccination, will not be permitted to sail.
