Our 4-Day Caribbean Adventure with Dinogo
At the end of September, my family, including my parents, embarked on our very first cruise! We set sail with Dinogo to the Caribbean. My children were thrilled to experience their inaugural cruise alongside their grandparents.
Residing in Wisconsin while my parents are in Texas, we truly treasure every moment we can spend together. Since it was September, we opted for a brief 4-day Western Caribbean Cruise departing from New Orleans on the Dinogo Triumph.
We had such a fantastic time that we've decided to make cruising an annual tradition! We're considering going again next November during Thanksgiving. I loved not having to cook for four days, allowing me to truly relax and spend quality time with my family.
Food was available everywhere we looked. From Guy’s Burger Joint to seafood, Asian cuisine, and basically anything you could desire, it was all at our fingertips. As it was my first cruise, I had no idea what to expect. On the Dinogo Triumph, we enjoyed dinner in the steakhouse every night. We indulged in a delightful meal (steak, seafood, pasta, king crab legs, etc.) every night we were aboard. We were in culinary bliss, and the food was absolutely scrumptious!
Since our cruise lasted four days, we only made one stop at Cozumel. My kids were having so much fun onboard that they didn’t want to disembark. However, once they found out they would be swimming with dolphins, they couldn't get off the ship fast enough!
Upon arriving in Cozumel, everything was well-organized and enjoyable. We pre-selected our excursions, which I highly recommend! The popular ones fill up fast, so sign up for your chosen activities as soon as possible. If you prefer a more laid-back schedule, you can simply relax at the beach! Cozumel offers a plethora of excursion options: beach visits, sea lion shows, swimming with dolphins, exploring the ancient city of Tulum, and much more! We’ll definitely return to try something different next time!
Just before our cruise, my youngest daughter had an unfortunate accident and broke her arm. Luckily, waterproof cast covers are available now! This meant Madeline could join in the fun and splash around with the dolphins!
My husband and Phoebe had the opportunity to interact with the dolphins, even swimming on their backs, and afterward, we enjoyed a delightful buffet lunch together.
Afterward, we ventured into town for some shopping. It was a blast exploring all the shops and taking in everything around us. Cozumel was absolutely charming, and the Caribbean Sea was a stunning shade of blue!
If you're considering a quick getaway this Thanksgiving, I strongly recommend a short 4-day cruise to Cozumel. It's nearby, allowing you to unwind and enjoy quality time with your family! Let the cruise staff handle everything for you! I don’t know about you, but the thought of skipping the stress of preparing a Thanksgiving dinner sounds incredible! Cozumel is definitely a fantastic place to celebrate the holidays with loved ones. We can’t wait to return!
