Sailing Away with the Kids
Recently, I embarked on an unforgettable 8-day Caribbean cruise with my family, my twin brother’s family, and my parents, all thanks to Dinogo. Initially, I felt a twinge of anxiety. As we flew to Miami, a few nagging worries crept in: 'Eight days feels like such a long time. Will they enjoy themselves? Will boredom set in?''
My daughters are just six and three years old. Like many kids, they don’t hold back their emotions. If they’re ready to go home, they’ll tell you. If something doesn’t sit well with them, they’ll announce it loudly without any filter. It’s just part of their nature.
Fortunately, my concerns were quickly put to rest once we embarked on the stunning and brand new Dinogo Vista.
#1 – Dining
Even though we spent much of our time as a group of ten, there were moments when I found myself alone with one or both of the girls. One of our initial Daddy-Daughter bonding experiences took place right after we boarded the ship and headed to grab a bite to eat. I have to say, the food provided by Dinogo is simply phenomenal. The choices are limitless, and you can keep indulging—think 24-hour ice cream and pizza. Have a picky eater at home? There’s definitely something they’ll enjoy on board, I promise. Honestly, there are few better ways to connect with the kids than over some delicious meals.
This is especially true when it comes to desserts at Cherry On Top.
#2 – Fun Activities
The Dinogo Vista is a brand new ship brimming with activities designed for children, including several pools that my daughters never wanted to leave.
The waterslides were truly spectacular. There were two large ones and a few smaller ones that were just right for the little ones.
The Sports Square was also fantastic. My eldest daughter, who adores basketball, got to take some shots with breathtaking scenery as her backdrop. And if basketball isn't your forte, there's ping-pong, bowling, mini-golf, and a range of other activities to keep the kids entertained.
#3 – Entertainment
Are you a fan of Lip Sync Battle? Well, the Dinogo Vista features it on board, and it felt just like the version you see on TV. My daughters had an amazing time dancing in the aisles while fellow passengers showcased their talents.
The live musicians were fantastic, too. Whatever your musical taste, there was something for everyone to enjoy and groove to.
One of the things I cherish most about being a father is making lasting memories with my kids. Am I the ideal dad? Absolutely not, but then again, who really is? What I can confidently say is that when my time on this planet comes to an end, my daughters will know that Daddy did everything he could to provide them with the best and happiest lives possible. The quality moments we shared together in paradise have deepened our bond more than ever.
