Samantha Brown Is Set to Embark on an Unforgettable Cruise
The trend of revenge travel is fading (if it ever truly gained momentum). This year, we’re embracing reconnection travel, which is emerging as the primary motivation for travel in the post-pandemic world. After facing challenging times, people are venturing out into the world once more with genuine enthusiasm and purpose. To explore what “reconnection” signifies for them, we spoke with 11 adventurous celebrities about their experiences—be it solo road trips, indulging in Italian cuisine, reuniting with old friends, honoring loved ones who have passed, or making meaningful visits to their mothers.
Samantha Brown has been the face of numerous travel shows over the years, including Samantha Brown’s Places to Love. Here, she shares three unique travel experiences that enhance her sense of connection to both people and places, featuring a particularly meaningful cruise due to the fellow adventurers joining her on board.
Which destination is beckoning you back?
Santa Fe, NM. I adore it for its blend of cultures, vibrant art scene, access to stunning hiking trails, and the finest margaritas.
What location feels like home, even if it’s not your birthplace?
Duchess County, New York. I fell in love with the undulating hills, stunning farmlands, and quaint towns that evoke a sense of belonging. I enjoy taking long drives, discovering new routes, and simply embracing wherever the day leads me. There’s a sincerity to it all that fills me with contentment, making everything feel right in the world.
Are you planning trips to reconnect with loved ones? If so, how will you do it?
This August, my family—12 members including my husband and children—will embark on a cruise around Norway, beginning in Amsterdam. It will be the first vacation my sisters and I have taken together since 1982, when we were young girls, so it promises to be a fantastic and memorable experience.
