Spend the Night at This Ghostbusters Firehouse—Here’s Who You Should Call (to Make a Reservation)
Nearly 40 years after Ghostbusters first graced the big screen, the tale of three quirky scientists battling a host of supernatural beings in New York City remains a cultural phenomenon. Few movies manage to stay this quotable nearly four decades later.
For fans eager to elevate their spooky season experience, Vacasa, a vacation rental management firm, has teamed up with Sony Pictures to recreate the firehouse where the trio of ghostbusters lived and worked in the beloved film. This replica is situated in the Nob Hill neighborhood of Portland, Oregon (not in New York City) and is available for an exclusive stay for up to five guests over Halloween weekend.

In addition to two bedrooms, a bathroom, and a full kitchen, the three-story firehouse will be equipped with ghost traps, unlicensed nuclear accelerators, proton packs, an aura video analyzer, and Ghostbusters uniforms for guests to don. The pantry will naturally be stocked with StayPuft marshmallows and cheesy crackers. Just be cautious of the cursed painting of Vigo the Carpathian (the main villain in Ghostbusters II) hanging in the living room.
The three-night experience will take place from October 28 to October 31, allowing guests to leave just before things get too spooky.
How to Reserve a Stay at the “Ghostbusters Firehouse
Reservations for the three-night stay will open on Vacasa on October 21 at 10 a.m. PT. The nightly rate is set at $19.84 (to commemorate the year Ghostbusters premiered), plus taxes and fees. Only one stay is available, offered on a first-come, first-served basis.
