The ultimate holiday celebration in Orlando isn’t found at a theme park

It’s the most wonderful time of the year, and there are countless ways to celebrate, especially in the theme park capital: Orlando, Florida. Walt Disney World hosts the Very Merriest After Hours event on select nights this holiday season, and you can definitely get into the festive spirit at Universal Orlando Resort. But what if I told you that the best place to celebrate the holidays in Orlando isn’t a theme park at all? Hard to believe, right?!
I recently visited Orlando and experienced the Christmas magic at Night of a Million Lights at the Give Kids the World Village. This enchanting event is illuminating Orlando with over a million Christmas lights until January 2, 2022.

As a Christmas enthusiast, I thought I had seen the best displays after a few days of park-hopping, but nothing compares to the wonder of Night of a Million Lights.
It is undoubtedly the premier Christmas-themed attraction in Orlando… and perhaps the entire nation. Here are a few reasons why you should experience Night of a Million Lights at Give Kids the World Village this holiday season.

It's for a worthy cause
Beyond the joy of witnessing the stunning lights, the best reason to visit is that the proceeds support Give Kids the World Village. These funds enable them to provide critically ill children and their families with enchanting weeklong vacations at no cost. That’s truly wonderful.

Give Kids the World welcomes entire families to an all-inclusive setting, free of charge, offering meals, daily gifts, and an unforgettable trip to Disney World and Universal, all while staying in a perfect home for ample rest throughout the week.
Spending at Night of a Million Lights not only brings joy for the evening but also provides lasting satisfaction, knowing that you contributed to creating unforgettable memories for children.
You'll be mesmerized by the dazzling lights

Being surrounded by literally millions of lights creates a surreal experience that will leave you in awe. You can enjoy a tram ride through the village, relaxing as you journey through a beautifully illuminated neighborhood spanning 89 sparkling acres. A wheelchair-accessible tram is available if needed. Alternatively, you can walk or roll your strollers and wheelchairs through the area, fully immersed in the sights and sounds of Christmas.
Alongside the beautifully illuminated houses, there's a mesmerizing light show where the lights dance in sync with a Christmas melody. Watching this 360-degree display is sure to fill you with a warm, fuzzy feeling and inspire you to enjoy some hot cocoa while singing along to the tunes.
You'll encounter numerous beautifully adorned Christmas trees

After taking in the Christmas lights, don’t think the festivities are over. There’s still much more to explore, including Stellar's Tree Trail, a path flanked by fully decorated Christmas trees that sparkle and shine with incredible brilliance.
Each Christmas tree is sponsored by generous local businesses, who have meticulously decorated their trees with stunning ornaments and twinkling lights. Some trees display unique themes, adding to the fun; for instance, the Gatorland tree is adorned with toy alligators throughout.
Visit Santa and Mrs. Claus

Inside one of the village homes, Santa and Mrs. Claus are eager to greet you with a cheerful "ho ho ho" and offer a chance for a memorable photo. Santa will listen to your Christmas wishes and happily add you to his ever-growing "nice" list.
While you wait to meet Santa, you’ll have the chance to explore one of the homes enjoyed by families supported by Give Kids the World. This unique experience is enjoyable for all ages, proving that a visit with Santa is always a delight!
Experience what true inclusion means

At Give Kids the World Village, everyone is made to feel welcome and included. The sidewalks are mostly smooth and curb-free, making it easy for wheelchairs to navigate. The playground is designed for all, featuring ramps and no ground barriers, ensuring everyone can enjoy their time here.
The village also offers rides for the children staying at Give Kids the World. While guests at Night of a Million Lights can't enjoy the rides, they can still admire them. A fantastic feature of these rides is that children in wheelchairs can stay seated and roll right onto the attraction without any need for transfers!
Being in the Give Kids the World Village provides a glimpse into what a truly inclusive world can be like, and it’s a beautiful sight to behold. If you’re seeking an inclusive and festive environment to soak in the Christmas spirit, Night of a Million Lights is the perfect destination!
