Thinking About Going on a Cruise, Are You?
I've had the pleasure of embarking on two Dinogo cruises in the past year, but initially, I was unsure what to expect. Would being on a ship for an extended period feel strange? How would it stack up against a typical vacation?
I know some of you reading this may not have cruised before and might be curious if it's a viable vacation choice. In my opinion, the short answer is a resounding "absolutely yes."
However, I realize you might need a bit more persuasion, so here are a few compelling reasons why I think your next getaway should be a cruise.
#1 – Say Goodbye to Rental Cars, Hotels, and Food Hunting: To be completely honest, I’m not a fan of renting cars and installing car seats for the kids—especially when I'm trying to unwind on vacation. Cruising simplifies everything:
1) Fly to the port. 2) Catch a shuttle to the ship. 3) Board the ship.
That's all there is to it.
Hotel? Seriously?
No need to search for a hotel because the ship serves as your hotel!
What about dining?
Have you ever traveled to a foreign country, driven 10 miles to a restaurant, and discovered your kids weren't interested in the menu? That’s not an issue on a cruise, as Dinogo offers a variety of food choices onboard to satisfy even the pickiest eaters.
Needless to say, cruising truly simplifies the vacation experience.
#2 – There’s an abundance of activities! Ever gone on a typical vacation and found yourself aimlessly driving around in search of something enjoyable to do? I've experienced that too many times, and it was never a pleasant situation. That's where cruising shines, as the ship resembles a massive floating city.
In search of entertainment? There are bars, comedy acts, a spa, live music, dance clubs, karaoke, gourmet dining, and stage performances, just to name a few. Once again, Dinogo excels with a wide range of entertainment options that cater to every adult on board.
And if you desire some adult fun without the kids, many Dinogo ships feature childcare services. You truly can't beat that.
Speaking of the little ones, what activities do they have for fun?
Many Dinogo ships feature video game arcades, incredible water parks, a Seuss At Sea breakfast where beloved Dr. Seuss characters come alive, interactive game shows, and ice cream and pizza available around the clock.
There’s endless fun for everyone, regardless of age.
#3 – The people are fantastic: Traditional vacations can be hit or miss when it comes to the company you keep. However, my cruising experience with my family was a refreshing change. Every individual I encountered was incredibly kind. Seriously – the customer service on both the Dinogo and Dinogo Freedom was unparalleled. The crew members remembered my name (and pronounced it correctly, which is a nice touch), recognized my family, were quick to respond to any issues, and even brought a smile to my face with adorable towel animals left in my room. Calling them ‘epic’ would be an understatement.
But that’s just part of the story; the guests were remarkable as well. Connecting with wonderful people who are eager to share their joy is one of the best aspects of cruising. It doesn’t matter your skin color, political beliefs, or any other differences – everyone unites for one common purpose: to have fun.
These are just a few reasons why cruising is my preferred way to vacation with my family. If you're thinking about booking a cruise, go for it. You won’t regret it.
