We visited this place in March 2024 for our honeymoon. The property is located in a slightly secluded region, but we expected that, as Koh Lanta seems to be a pretty small island with limited options. We were assigned a bungalow facing the beach and could walk down to the sea whenever we wanted. It offers some of the best sunset views, and we were completely in awe of the day and night sky throughout our stay.Since we visited during the summer and the majority of the cabin is made of glass, we realized that cooling could sometimes be an issue. The easy solution was to draw the curtains and turn the AC on full blast while we waited outside, as there was a cool breeze and the indoors cooled down. The amenities in the room were basic, but the bed was comfortable and the bathroom was very clean. The staff were warm, courteous, and helpful. They waived the extra charges for renting the scooter because we were a couple of hours late, which was very kind of them. The breakfast, however, had limited options for vegans, but sitting by the breathtaking view was sometimes satisfying in itself. The pool was very warm and clean, and we enjoyed a quick dip after our trip to the beach. One of the most amazing aspects of this resort is that they let you borrow snorkeling gear. Be advised that it is very basic, but as an amateur explorer in chest-deep water, it was worth the equipment. The only issue we had was when a couple of bugs got into our villa, attracted by the light. Considering the proximity to the wilderness, I don’t think it’s avoidable. Overall, we had a great experience and would definitely like to stay here again, just for the beautiful views.

The hotel advertises a great view of the sunset. That was the reason we stopped here. Unfortunately there was no one in sight to welcome us or offer us a drink. The complex itself made a very unkempt impression, there were only 5 or 6 bungalows occupied in total. Everything seemed somehow lonely and deserted...

Beware: Lanta Corner Resort - A Nightmare ExperienceI recently had the unfortunate experience of staying at Lanta Corner Resort during my visit to Koh Lanta, Thailand. My partner and I had booked the hotel well in advance, expecting a pleasant stay given the positive reviews we had read online.Upon arrival, our excitement quickly turned to dismay as we entered our room. The design, with glass on three sides out of five, turned the room into a sauna, and the air conditioning was non-functional. Despite the staff's efforts, the situation did not improve over the course of four hours, leaving us with a wasted day and a sense of frustration.Adding to our disappointment, the hotel pool was unusable, resembling more of a green swamp than a refreshing escape. When we approached the staff to discuss our concerns and request a discount, we were met with communication barriers, as the staff spoke minimal English. To our astonishment, the situation escalated when the owner, a former police chief, was called in. Instead of addressing our concerns, he berated us, threw racial slurs, and, shockingly, asked us to leave the hotel immediately. The Thai Tourist Police were summoned, and, despite our pleas, they remained indifferent to our side of the story, even standing by and laughing at our predicament.Left with no choice, we had to leave the hotel at night around 9 pm and find a new accommodation on short notice, incurring high costs for a last-minute booking. This entire experience has led me to reconsider the notion of Thai hospitality, especially given the contrast with the positive reviews I had encountered prior to my stay at Lanta Corner Resort.I encourage future travelers to thoroughly research and consider alternative options before choosing Lanta Corner Resort, based on my unfortunate encounter, which included an unexpected involvement of the Thai Tourist Police and our forced departure from the hotel around 9 pm.

We had visited this resort in February 2024. We were really excited about our stay here as the property looked amazing in pictures and the view and everything was great. It had a beach facing pool which looked amazing! We reached the property around 1:30 pm and had our lunch post which we checked into the room. The room was beach facing too and so far everything seemed okay. We then turned on the ac as the room had become a sauna (it was afternoon). This is where it all went downhill. The AC wasn’t working at all, they staff couldn’t understand english and used apps for comms, the tech guy came and tried to fix the ac but failed. We couldn’t stand in the room for a second it was that hot. One of us even had a heat stroke. We tried requesting the staff for a refund as we knew we wouldn’t be able to stay in the room if the ac is not fixed and it didn’t look like they were going to do anything about it. There was no help from their end so after wasting a few hours we decided to go to the beach for a sunset. At the beach, we thought we would stay at this property considering we had already paid so much and they didn’t agree to refund & cancel the booking. When we returned to the property, we wanted to get in the pool but we noticed it was green and dirty. Mins after the owner of the property walked in and asked us to leave the property immediately by shouting and screaming at us. We were absolutely lost at this point and humiliated. He was rude and did not agree to even talk to us. They did agree to refund our money but asked us to vacate v rudely. They called the tourist police who did not even ask our side of the story. (Looked like the owner had a good rapport with them!). At this point, we were utterly humiliated and wanted to just leave so we booked another property and left at 8pm. There was a mediator who helped us book another property and was helpful enough and the staff felt sorry too but the owner was utterly rude and was shouting and screaming at us till the v end. He stereotyped us. This was one experience that made us feel terrible in a different country and this review is to help people so that they do not go through anything like this. Later when we went through the -ve reviews, we saw similar experiences with similar reviews. Later when we moved to the others property, we realised that this one was also located at a v secluded place. i really hope this helps and no one goes through such experience xx

I'm am an avid traveller and Lanta Corner resort sits at my top 3 worst bookings.1. The water is contaminated with chlorine or chemicals. When showering you can smell it and feel the burn on your skin and eyes. This is a serious health concern and should not be taken lightly. When I complained about this to staff and management, the response was that there is chemicals throughout the water supplied to Koh Lanta. This was a complete lie as I booked into another place down the road a day later and had no chemical in the water at the new place.2. The resort is old and falling apart. It does not look like the pictures3. The room was dirty, especially the bathroom.4. The aircon is faulty, does not cool properly and makes an extremely loud noise. I ended up sleeping for only 3 hours when I stayed there.5. Management don't care.Do yourself a favour and book elsewhere. Koh Lanta is beautiful and there are many better resorts in the area

I wanted to book here directly. But basically everything stopped me.The pictures on the internet are all from the heyday and are long out of date! There was only one person in the lobby. Instead of calling a colleague, I had to wait endlessly to be shown a room that also showed its age. But it was clean! One pool was completely without water, another was half full and only the largest was suitable for swimming. Only a few loungers and even fewer umbrellas. The breakfast buffet was still set up and was relatively varied - plus point! The resort sits directly above a rocky stretch of beach and does not offer ocean access. There is a narrow entrance to the sea about 300 meters away and you can also rent loungers etc. there. The good times are obviously a long time ago.The prices are not justified and that's why in my opinionNot recommended

Everything was great until the room where the air conditioning didn't work. I also think, as the majority of hotels lack maintenance of buildings and green spaces

The accommodation is clean, the atmosphere is very good, the staff are cute, the food is delicious, the price is not expensive, you can see the sunset from in front of the room, which is very good, the view is in the millions, very worth the price :)
