Nice hotel, nothing crazy either, but it's clean we sleep well it's quiet and very close to the port 500m… we find scooter rentals 30m away, it's impeccableAfterwards don't expect luxuryNo TVAir conditioning ok + fan + fridge

Exceptional! This place is run by the warmest family who were gracious hosts and went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. There was a power outage on the first night, completely out of their control, affected the entire island. They brought emergency lights and even moved our room to a ground level so we didn't have to navigate stairs (I am traveling with an injury). The room was very comfortable and very convenient to our scuba diving itinerary, which was the primary focus of this trip. Our hosts arranged our transportation (boat and bus) to our next destination happily and quickly. We will absolutely stay at Baan Suanta Hotel the next time we are in Koh Tao! We highly recommend!

I needed a long-term stay on Koh Tao. I stopped in after not receiving direct answers to several questions I messaged through Air B&B. I approached the woman at the counter and explained that I was looking for a place, and I asked if I could l look around the property. (Online photos typically do not represent what you get on Koh Tao). The woman was not friendly *at all*, but was rather very gruff and short in her replies, and asked why I wanted to look around, "it's my hotel". This wasn't a language barrier situation. She didn't want to talk. She eventual agreed to let me look around. The property and lobby was pretty rough looking. I cannot recommend.

The hotel is very old and the rooms are very old, it didn't at all correspond to the pictures shown on the internet. In addition, the mattress was very hard and uncomfortable. There was dust everywhere on the picture frames, lamps, etc., and the rooms were not cleaned thoroughly. There is also no cleaning service and towels etc. are only replaced upon request. The bed sheets had holes in them and there were stains everywhere.

Horrible, we arrived at the hotel with a reservation made 3 weeks ago and they told me upon arrival that it was cancelled. The receptionist treated us poorly and did not offer any solution.

Really nice family, I would definitely come back. Loved the plants and statue’s in the garden. Location is super good, close to the pier, to a lot of restaurants, diving schools and still it’s quiet (if your neighbors are quiet). The new rooms are really good, bed is a bit hard, shower is either cooking hard or cold.. we stayed 6 weeks in a new room and 3 nights in an older room. Wifi was not good, was better in cafes or dive school. That one was less good, cold shower, room was very wet and blanket was smelly sooo moldy, we had to do a lot to change the bed sheets, after it was much better!First we booked with airbnb from natha who has manyyy places in koh tao.. a shame that you pay €4 service fee for airbnb that does not even go to the people. Wish they had it on Booking and otherwise just call them, much better!

Baan Suan Ta Hotel was fantastic. I stayed here for 12 days in the middle of a 2 month Thailand trip. It’s not my favorite spot on Koh Tao, but it was the most comfortable. I had a third floor “garden view” with a balcony. The view was much more than a garden (included photo).Also, after I checked out, I accidentally left behind my favorite shirt. I returned almost two weeks later, after going to Koh Samui for a bit. On the off chance they had a lost and found I returned and asked—the owner had my shirt folded nicely right at the front desk waiting for me! Everyone had a good laugh at how excited I was to retrieve it.I’ve been to Koh Tao four times now, and I can say that I will probably stay here again.

Great hotel with good price/performance ratio. The rooms are big and tidy. The breakfast is rather small, but everything was freshly prepared. Well located locally and close to the pier. Only the adjacent scooter rental shop should be treated with caution. He likes to shout out sentences like: You have to pay! For damage that we demonstrably did not cause.

We stayed there one night. When we arrived there the dog was barking at us and even running to us.. I was super scared. After check in, we found a big spider (someone has posted the pics below) in the bathroom, we told the old lady (owner? We are not sure). At first they tried to catch the spider, then suddenly the old lady just said to us that we can change the room, but in a very impatient and rude voice. Even we didn’t ask for it. The room is okayish and old,nothing like the photos online, but the bathroom is really like a dungeon, so depressing.. we were happy we just had to stay there for one night. The young lady was nice and helpful. For this price you can definitely find a better place to stay on the island.

An excellent place to stay, very close to the pier and surrounded by many restaurants, 7 eleven and more. Quite a busy place on the island, it is like in the middle of everything. The room was spacious and fairly clean, air conditioned and very quiet. There were no noises from outside, we had a great nights. The lady at the reception doesn't speak much English but we made ourselves understood. They offer room cleaning service but you have to leave the key at reception; as well as clean towels to go to the beach every day. Overall a very good experience staying at this hotel.

The hotel room was okay, though it was dated and had no amenities provided. The bed wasn’t uncomfortable, but it was nothing special and had a few stains on it. The place loses major points on the state of the bathroom. A very strong chemical smell and the room looked like a dungeon. There were multiple large spider encounters in the room and outside the room that I felt shouldn’t have really occurred had maintaining the rooms been a priority. The towel bar on the bathroom had been ripped off the wall so there was no where to hang a towel. There was sometimes noise from the dogs that live in the hotel after midnight barking loud. Overall, the place has potential but it needs a lot of work to be worthy of the cost of the rooms, as you can stay at much nicer for the same price.

Beware of rip-offs!Money was deducted directly, I didn't get a hotel room when I arrived. The door was closed in my face and what they offered instead was a dirty other flophouse. To this day I haven't gotten any money back, despite multiple emails and contacts from me, and no help was provided from Agoda, despite multiple requests.You are simply left in the lurch - the main thing is that the money is debited quickly! No recommendation - caution is advised.

Excellent price-quality ratio, a few minutes walk from the main attractions of the island, it was very convenient for me since I took a diving course and it was very close to the Pier. The room is much larger than the average, air conditioning, refrigerator and kettle for only 600THB per night. A very quiet place, without noise, ideal for resting and being close to points of interest.

The hotel is near the pier, about a 5-minute walk, located in Mae Haad, which is the center of the island. Suitable for renting a motorbike. Makes it easy to travel to other beaches, both on the left side is Chalok Beach and on the right side is Sairee Beach. And when returning to the boat, it's easy, no need to take a car to the pier. You can walk to the pier like when you arrived. Room prices range from 600 to over a thousand. The rooms are very good for the price. There are many delicious restaurants nearby. Easy to find things to eat The dive shop picks you up at your hotel, making it convenient to stay anywhere.
