The hotel is full of bugs, in my bed there was woodworm that had fallen from the headboard of the bed, cobwebs, the pool was dirty and everything was completely abandoned, in the bathroom there were spiders and scallops of considerable size.I understand that it tries to be a resort blended into the environment but it is all abandoned and dirty for such a high price. We have only stayed one night and we have barely slept because of how everything was.A few years ago it was surely a good resort, but now either they do something or in a few years it will end up completely bankrupt. To get there you go along the dark road for 10 minutes or along the beach because it is far from everything.

If you like decrepit and dirty places, this is your place. The pool, the sun loungers, the rooms: decadent, dirty.Beste was probably a top place years ago and now survives thanks to very expensive rooms for what they really are and the diving school. The photos on Booking and Agoda are gross deceptions. If you are staying because you are going to dive at school, I recommend that you go to Sairee Hut which is 3 minutes away on the beach (or some other options that are probably less decrepit and are also nearby).Furthermore, the management is very unserious. Confirm your reservation carefully because from what you can see, they are auctioning off the rooms that face the sea (which, for a reason that escapes me, have cockroaches the size of a smartphone). The only good thing, the location

Staff has been awesome, very friendly and gave good information. BUT, and a big BUT.Beds : Hard as wood! We were thinking to use the mattress of the long chair on the beach instead of our room mattress. Seriously, if you use the word "resort" please have mattress to an minimal confort standard.Noise: no issue with the bungalow near the beach, however if you take a room near the lobby, brace yourself all night for Toads, monkey, rooster and neigbor! Sound Isolation is poor to none.

Nice location, nice location..Rooms ok but aged, our AC didn't cool enough and sounded like a hurricane. Wood was rotten in some places, but that common in Thailand around tourist areas. koh Tao it mainly for the younger, diving or party crowd. You can find better resorts for lower prices if you are coming as a couple or family and would probably choose Samui. We like nicer places and don't mind paying where price = value. I would say here that not equal .Not bad, but about 60-70% of what we wanted. To compare, we stayed at a 4.8 star on another island which was outstanding, had nothing, no even one thing that we could complain about for $60usd.

Location: Awesome. Far enough from the party scene to be quiet, but near enough to access shops and restaurants. The boat ride (via Lomprayah), was pretty rough coming in, but smooth going out.Grounds/Staff: Pleasant pool and lovely, well-maintained landscaping. Staff were polite and helpful. Taxis are pricey (800-1000 baht for a 10-12 km ride), and the driving was less than safe. Restaurant was ok, but the pad see ew was very bland. Not sure why there was a pile of discarded construction materials left in the middle of the resort. Lots of mosquitoes; having standing water in pots and ponds exacerbates the problem.Rooms: Clean and relatively pleasant. Very firm beds. Small gaps in floorboards and around some windows. Our aircon leaked a lot the last two days. The bathroom would randomly start to smell bad (likely a plumbing problem) and water pressure was low.Overall: a reasonable value for the money, but not without compromises.

It depends on the price, the D rooms can be very improved, there is no refrigerator, the curtains are very thin and all the light comes in. Plus the door is made of glass and they can see you from the outside. The air conditioning in the room was super old and hardly cooled. They did not change our sheets in 6 days of our stay, some days they did not change our towels and they did not give us toilet paper. There were ants on the tables and both the floor and the entire bathroom are cement, unpainted and without tiles. The shower was quite rusty and the very worn shower head did not throw the water under pressure, and the jets in different directions. Even though they are rooms that are well priced, there should be some minimums.
