Roma very basic but it is what the price reflects so can’t moan, we stopped here for one night and took canoes down the river with guides! This is definitely worth doing we see monkeys swinging through trees above us and was shown some pythons and black and yellow snakes in the trees amazing scenery had a brilliant time just make sure you use plenty of insect repellent or expect to get eaten alive

All right, I rented a bungalow for 2, it had air conditioning and a fan, the bed was big, the bathroom was typical with the shower all together but it was still spacious, 2 towels, kettle, FRIDGE (that's super good)SUMMARY: ROOM INSIDE is good, clean and with what you need. From the doors of the room to the outside, you have a garden where all the bungalows are. At mealtime, the entire area is invaded by monkeys. You have a little path to the river to bathe, which is super accessible (there are 3 steps and quite crystal clear water) in it. enclosure is.Personal issue, very closed, quite sharp, we arrived early and asked if we could leave the backpack, they agreed, they told us to put them in an abandoned room with a closed and stinky smell and then when the room was ready they completed the check in and did not They let us in until 2:00 p.m. We were there and wanted and needed to go in. Then when we left I asked them if I could leave the suitcases for a while but if I could somewhere else since I didn't like where they told me to keep them because of the smell and the surveillance, not to mention the bugs that got into the backpack. They tell me that it is possible and it turns out that they have an exclusive room for backpacks and with a lock and everything (super angry because I don't know why I have to leave them somewhere else and not there from the beginning)Location: near the park, about 10 minutes walk and about 15-20 minutes from bus and van stops (it's good to not have to take taxis or anything)

Positive: The accommodation is located away from the main street and its noise, be careful with this if you don't have a car, since the walk to the main street is about 10 minutes in the sun. It is in the access area to the Natural Park. The accommodations are cabins in the forest.Negative: The woman at reception responded to everything with a polite denial, typical and odious "English politeness": You could not check in a while before the established time, there could not be two adjoining cabins (despite being requested with the reservation and that in their notes two numbers of adjacent cabins appeared for our reservation), when we went to have breakfast the breakfast was not included in the price, even though it was (they gave it to us for free after proving it with the reservation of booking and a bad face on their part), terrible information about the area, excursions, etc. Although the accommodation is supposed to offer excursions, when asking about them none could be done. Breakfast is not a buffet.Above the room, this is a brick cabin located high on 4 pillars. It has no furniture other than a bed and a table with a chair. The air conditioning cools well. The bathroom does not have a shower curtain, the entire bathroom gets wet. When we returned from dinner we found the bathroom full of triple-bodied (huge) red ants crawling around the floor and walls. After killing them, after a few minutes more and more and more appeared... We spent almost the entire night without sleeping for fear of waking up with our bodies full of ants, and going to the bathroom was a lot of fun. The towels smelled very bad and were old, when we went to reception to request new towels with a good smell, the "politeness" lady greeted us with a new refusal to change the towels, alluding to the fact that "being in the rainy season they smell like that." Well no, the rest of the accommodations on our trip smelled good.

Preferably book a bungalow by the river, the monkeys jump in the trees, never seen such a lack of organization just to serve breakfast 😱

DO NOT BOOK THIS TOUR. We were part of the group that got taken to Nam Talu cave which we later heard was closed during rainy season. Please search for the articles of this event on 6th August 2024. Truly reckless from the guides with no communication.

DO NOT BOOK THIS TOUR! We booked a Khao Sok overnight tour through our hostel, who used this company for the lake tour. They led a group of tourists into a cave, telling everyone it was safe and they knew the cave very well. The cave flooded after the heavy rain and +20 people were trapped inside. Sadly one of the guides died in the accident. The guides lied to the group through the whole trip, and tried to hide what had happened afterwards. The guides should never have taken the group to the cave, and we only found out after that the cave is closed during rainy season. Very traumatic experience for everyone, and still the tour company didn’t seem to care.

DO NOT BOOK THROUGH THIS COMPANYAfter booking onto and arriving at our accommodation for the overnight tour of Khao Sok national park on the 6/8/24 we were taken on what was described as a fun 2 hour trek through the jungle. What we didn’t know was that the route was completely unsafe (especially considering there was heavy rainfall) and that our guides had provided no safety briefing and had no first aid or way of contacting anyone from the location. We arrived at Nam Thalu cave at the end of the trek where tour guides led the group inside. Once deep inside the cave, water levels rose dramatically in a flash flood. After panicked tour guides shouted for members of the group to “run”, 5 people made their way back towards the cave entrance where they were swept under deep water (one of the guides tragically losing their life and 3 others sustaining a broken hip, multiple leg injuries and open wounds). The remaining 20+ people (including children) were trapped in the cave for another 3 hours until water levels finally dropped. Other groups arrived shortly after the incident and many other tourists assisted with helping those that were injured back out of the jungle (with LIMITED help from guides). Shortly after getting back to our accommodation we found out that the company had gone against safety regulations warning to stay out of the cave in rainy season and that previous incidents with the same company had occurred resulting in the loss of 9 other lives. We have recieved no apology or compensation for this incident.Information on the incident can be found on several online news articles.

We booked the double room with air conditioning and balcony. The balcony has very good views of the river and is very good, however it is a very small room, the worst thing is the bathroom, it is tiny and the entire toilet gets wet when you shower because it is all together, and there is also little hot water pressure (or temperate). In the hotel there are other rooms that are much better and you will surely have another experience. As for the tours, we booked the 2 days and one night in the cabins with private bathrooms, the excursion was very pleasant, the cabins were very comfortable, the food was correct. Just keep in mind that these are usually tours with groups of about 15-20 people, in many cases with small children, do not expect a great adventure, it is a relaxed and family plan to see a small cave, some waterfalls and some animals from the boat . But it is a beautiful experience in a comfortable place with very friendly and helpful guides, and it is well organized.

Basic hut is ok for one night, would spend little more though for room with a decent shower and drain.Booking excursion for overnight stay at the lake is not recommended at this place. Groups are way too big; with only one guide for 30 people. The guide was friendly but his English was limited so not much backstory or general info about the trip.First day we visited the cave and a waterfall hike which are nice but short, most of the day is spend sitting in the minivan and on the longtail boat.Besides that we had bad luck with the floating cottage. First one we stayed in was leaking and rain pouring all over the room.We got another room which was even worse, toilet inside was broken so we had to use the outside toilet. Nails sticking out of the floor of the shower, electricity didn't work at first, the staff was really helpfull and fixed the issue, that evening the electricity died again. Again staff was real helpfull and this time replaced the battery. The floor on the entry of our hut was completely worn out, floorboards came loose, nails sticking out, really dangerous.Long story short; poor management in regard to the entire excursion, better book with organisation that does smaller groups
