Iv been traveling to Bangkok for over 20 yrs and at least once a year. I've stayed at many hotels in Bangkok. And I Just spent a week at this hotel. Unfortunately nothing much about this hotel lives up to the title of being "grand".Let's begin with the pro (yes, a singular pro): The staff are very friendly and helpful. However it's obvious they lack experience and often need to reminded to do things such restock the rooms teabags, amenities , towels. Or follow up on requests. Now for the cons:The hotel is located right behind the Siam Paragon mall, and the provide a shuttle to and from the mall. However there is literally only 1 shuttle, and it's a golf cart. So it can only take 4_5 passengers each time, then you have to wait for the shuttle to drop off the ppl and return for you. Which at times takes some time because there is traffic at the mall and the shuttle gets stuck in traffic. Thy couldn't even set up a second shuttle. Th other way to the streets to the platinum outlet mall is a walk way through some presidential houses and a parking lot. The road is terrible to walk through and doesn't feel safe at night. The breakfast buffet has alot of options but all are terrible. And this is no exaggeration. Their egg station, doesn't even cook the eggs upon order. Instead the eggs are precooked and left on plates for you to pick. So if you enjoy cold or lukewarm fried or scrambled eggs then I guess it can be your thing. And even if you ask for fresh eggs they insist you take Their cold plated eggs. They often forget to refill things. This includes basic things like sliced bread . And this was not during a busy week. Every day I had to go tell the staff something ran out and needed refilling. Their bread and pastry are stale and dense. I could play hockey with their donuts and muffins. The cold cut and cheese station , is often swarming with flies and insects buzzing about. Very unappetising .The rooms..Omg..Such a large rooms but with so many design flaws and issues. There are no drawers or cabinet for your personal items. Just the one wardrobe. Which is just average sized. The mini fridge lives up to the name "mini". Besides a few drinks don't expect space for anything else to fit in. My fruits and Thai desserts had to be put outside and were slowly cooked by the fridges exhaust heat which is funneled to the table top of the coffee machine.Their beds all have a weird indent in the middle. The light switch is like a puzzle. The master switch turns off every single thing. So when you go to bed and switch off the master switch expect the AC , night lights, toilet lightsliterally everything to go off. And if you use the main switches there is no rhym or reason to it. Switch A turns off some lights, but when you turn off switch B it turns off another set of lights while turning on some of the lights of set A. Switch C will do the same for the lights for set B and D. Etc etc. Your best choice will be to turn off everything manually individually . Not sure why those main and master switches were installed. The toilet is strangely designed. A huge bathtub in the design set middle of the bathroom but with no hangers or space to hang cloths nearby. So expect to get up wet and naked and to walk to get your towel and cloths. The shower is a joke. The shower head is too heavy and cat support itself. so the water only reaches 1/3 of the shower stall. So you need to almost cling to the wall to let the water reach you.For the price they charge there are many many other options within the city. Maybe even better options. This is a hotel you would only stay once but wouldn't think of returning to on your next visit.

It took nearly two hours to check in and get a room.I kept saying that the room hasn't been tidied up yet and I have to wait a moment. The efficiency and speed are super slow, and there will be no service staff to take you to your room! The afternoon tea snacks are also super delicious! I don’t recommend this place, it’s actually very bad.

It is a very bad 5 star hotel, not worth the price. Since traveling, we reserved a 2-bedroom executive suite. Arrived to check-in at 2:00 p.m. Reception informed us that we had to wait another hour for the room because the room was not yet finished. We were very confused because it was time to check-in but had customers sit and wait again. Is this 1 hour? There were 4 of us, including old people and children, so we had to sit and wait. It wasn't right, so they opened another room that we had reserved for us to stay in. Which we booked as a 2-bedroom executive suite room. When we arrived In another bedroom, found A used coat was in the closet along with scraps of paper and a thick layer of dust. We called the room department to see what was going on. So he informed us to move the room to a 3-bedroom suite instead, but I don't know if his work wasn't coordinated or not. Let us gather our things and take us up. At the new room Finally, we've brought our things together. We had to stand and wait in front of the room again because the 3 bedroom rooms were not yet finished. We had to stand and wait in front of the room for a while. The employees are busy rushing to make rooms. We met a housekeeper. So we asked him if the room was almost finished and where the previous staff were. He shouted to the staff, using words to refer to customers. A child came calling. Found in front of the room These are the words of the housewife. Used to refer to customers staying at a 5 star hotel?!! I was very shocked. I didn't know that this hotel had never trained its staff. Called the customer a child and asked to see him. We asked about this but did not receive any apology from the housekeeper and the manager who came to manage the room. After staying Inside the room, we found a piece of wire, an empty spike on the carpet. In the living area, I think I saw it first. If anyone steps in here, they could stab their feet. How do they clean it? It's really bad. There's no standard for a 5-star hotel. During the night, the lights in the walkway are all out. So we called an electrician to come and look at it twice, until we were able to sleep in a lot of trouble. It's very late already. Couldn't solve the problem so we turned on the light and slept. In the morning, come out to eat at the restaurant. Come back to the room. Someone snuck into the room when we went out to eat. Because the room door is not fully closed. Fortunately, the item was not lost. Because we put our wallets and important documents away. Is this the service from a 5-star hotel where the room rate is almost 20,000 baht per night? Very bad, worst, terrible, such a waste of money. And this is the last time that we will use the services of the chatrium group.

The hotel is very nice, tidy and family-friendly. The area is upscale and the rooms are spacious and nice. They have a golf car that takes you to the Siam Pragun complex for free. There is no complication in checking in. I arrived at 10 AM as soon as I had prepared the room. They greeted me at 11:30, and finally all the snacks in the room were free.
