A great inexpensive place for a surfer. There is rental, school and instructors. Located in the center of a small village, there are cafes with real coffee, shops... Among the shortcomings: the lack of a beach nearby. You need to ride a bike.

Great place to stay in Gerupuk, comfy room with aircon and sunset terrace. Staff is lovely, exceptional service from Susu who make our 6 days stay unreal :) thanks again mate.Good food at decent price, comfy.Cold shower isn't a problem for us, but a nice room deserve a nice bathroom... This need to be refurbished a bit, too much outdated.About the village, be aware, this old fisherman harbour is now dedicated to welcome surfers due to the good location. Villagers are keen to offer you anything ( they will let you know very often !) and sometimes not at a reasonable price. They know how to push you, stay cool... business is business, Hard to bargain because it's a small town.Surfing spot only accessible by boat, 200k per person including board that you choose.On the other side, 3 km away, beautiful beach perfect for chilling in family, swimming and surfing (25k for a boat to drop you by the waves)Anyway, you'll enjoy to be far away from High tourist area, so you can accept to raise your budget a bit.Yes you will hear the pray...from everywhere :)Last thing, bring your suncream, it's overpriced there.

We were there for two nights. The large room, with air conditioning.Acceptable mattresses and pillows.We were quite calm despite the constant movement of surfers.The interesting location, about 8 km from the center of Kuta and overlooking the sea.Breakfast quite good, you can choose a dish and a drink.

we absolutely LOVED our stay at Edo's - the rooms were comfortable and the food was incredible (fresh fish caught the same day from the village!), but most importantly the staff were so lovely and really made us feel like family. thank you Idi, Rumle (sorry about the spelling!) and Edo's whole family - we will miss you all very much. Tarimakasih! Millie and Eli :)

Great place to spend a few days! The hosts are adorable and do everything to make you feel good! Superb sea view from the terrace, everything for surfing 🏄♀️, and excellent breakfast. A little out of the center but it was a choice and at least it’s quiet! Go for it ☀️

Very good for the price. Nice private room with a small bathroom attached. No hot water and some dodgy plumbing to keep things interesting.The room had A/C but I couldn't adjust the temperature passed freezing (it changed on the unit but temp didn't actually change).Great spot for surfers with people coming and going all day. There's a mosque across the road which pumps their prayers over the speakers throughout the day, with the earliest being 5am which is a rough way to wake up.Located away from Kuta, about 15 minutes scooter ride.

Nice clean well equipped rooms and good value for money. Very friendly and helpful staff and owner. Restaurant on site serves tasty local food and very affordable. Ocean view from the restaurant makes the place special, there are loungers to relax on too. I stayed one month at Edo’s and would stay again for sure.

Best Homestay I've staid in a long time. Everything was the best. The service, super friendly everybody and helpful, the food, the views, the rooms with AC and the most comfortable and good quality beds. They help you organise the surfing sessions for the best price and they are always very honest. Definitely will be back!! Thank you for making the stay so pleasant 🫶.
