My Kind of BaliI've been coming here since 1989 and it is still good. The other reviewers will confirm that the food is great, the location is great, the staff are great, and the rooms are great. I will confirm, though, that the roosters can wake you up. BUT, that is part of living in authentic Bali. So, if that bothers you, ask for a room in the middle of the complex. I still love it, roosters included.

Lovely place right in the beach with jemeluk bay and lipah beach. Great for snorkelling too. The rooms are superb, and so is the food and the service. They have a lovely little pool and everyone here is very accommodating and welcoming. We originally stayed somewhere else but came here for lunch and to snorkel one day and ended up changing plans to move on- and booked here for a couple of nights instead. Liam, one of the managers is a passionate chef- and boy does he know his food! He’s happy to chat with the guests and mingle along with his lovely wife and child. He’s given us lots of really useful recommendations for the rest of our trip too. If you’re staying in Amed we would really recommend paying this lovely place a visit.

Hidden Paradise Cottages opened in 1992 but has been well maintained since then. The rooms are very original, but quaint and completely ok. …

A very well located hotel for a snorkeling stay in Amed. Very spacious rooms, bathroom open to the sky. Very good restaurant. The plus: the very friendly welcome from the reception to the restaurant including the gardeners.

It's perfect for relaxing at the beach. The bungalows are comfortable (better if booked with Agoda than booking, personal experience). the location on Lipiah beach is great on the seafront, very beautiful black sand beach and when you swim you are in a giant aquarium. The restaurant is good, the garden with the swimming pool is very well maintained. Nearby massages, good warungs, possibility of diving. It is better to be transported because Amed is more of a region than a city and therefore very spread out..I recommend.

Lovely location (other than the rooms near reception backing on to a farm which had a very active cockerel - a real problem for us as we had a busy itinerary). Traditional buildings with pretty grounds. …
