An example of a small, family-run business with a high standard of environmental ethics. Excellent bamboo craftmanship for all their buildings.The owners also put profits from the resort into running a local charity to improve the education and well-being of the people in the archipelago.Highly recommend.

Beautiful little family-run dive resort with beaches in the front and rainforest behind, very close to nature while still comfortable. Excellent food and great service even as they bounce back from Covid. The diving around Bangka is on par with Bunaken and Lembeh but the island is less commercial, recommended.

Warm, relaxing welcome that inspires confidence in the safety of diving. The site is remarkable: wooded area with small freshwater ponds right at the edge of the beach. Surprisingly few mosquitoes. Frog concert at night and we hear the tarsiers. The Toraja style constructions, mainly made of bamboo, blend harmoniously into the environment. Varied dives, spectacular diversity of species (hard and soft corals, fish, invertebrates, etc.) and the submerged metal structures to restore the House Reef are nicely colonized. Spacious, airy, very comfortable bungalow. Varied, hearty and healthy cuisine, including for vegetarians. Perfect stay!

This was our second time here and enjoyed it just as much as the 1st time round. Owen is a wonderful host and super knowledgeable on the diving in the area. The corals are pristine with tons of life on the reefs. Looking forward to my next visit!

We spent a week at Mimpi Indah in December 2022 and had a great time there. We arranged a pick up at Manado airport, the driver was there waiting for us with a sign. After an hour drive, we took a boat to Bankga and got a warm welcome. Our bungalow was ready and clean when we arrived.You can dive virtually everywhere around the island. We went to a many dive sites just 10 minutes away by boat. The corrals are healthy, there is a lot of sea life from the usual tropical fish to eagle rays and dugong (we didn't see any dugong, but we saw a baby manta and a few reef sharks).Owen, the resort owner, is an easygoing and social person. He and his staff care about their guests and it made our experience very enjoyable. The chef in the kitchen is great, the food is good and the meal times can be adapted according to the diving schedule. We got served an afternoon snack that was different every day. Our room got cleaned every morning. The resort is relatively small, the atmosphere is friendly and relaxed. Ah, and they have two super friendly dogs, we miss them already.
