The staff is very friendly and helpful.The welcome was very friendly and after 6 nights we felt really comfortable.Stefan and Antoine, the owner and his son gave us very good tips for our stay.The location of the hotel was excellent.Right in front of a beautiful coral reef where countless species of fish and turtles can be observed.The hotel offers loungers and seating and a staircase directly to the beach.For breakfast you order in advance and have a choice of how the eggs are prepared, the juice and between Mie Goreng, cornflakes or bread.Fruit salad and coffee or tea are served with this.The family villa was very spacious, clean and equipped with an outdoor bathroom and kitchenette.The kitchen is equipped with a sink, kettle and refrigerator.The beds are comfortable and surrounded by mosquito nets.The villa is surrounded by a terrace and has its own “garden” with a covered lounger and an outdoor shower.Our children were allowed to use the pool until late.We really enjoyed our stay and felt very welcome.

While the hotel overall was not that bad, there were a few annoyances which would not be expected at this price point: the hot water did not last very long before going cold; the air conditioning was not very good at keeping the room refreshingly cool; and we were charged an extortionate fee for a small tear in a bed sheet, rather ironic considering much of the room showed some wear and tear, including the shower, sink, and mosquito nets. The staff were pleasant, though the location felt pretty out of the way, especially in comparison to a hotel we stayed in at the north of the island which was much closer to cheaper food. These may have been more minor grievances had the hotel been cheaper.

We received a very friendly welcome. There was a welcome drink and some information about the facility. We can absolutely recommend the chicken curry for dinner. The breakfast was also great. All the staff are extremely welcoming and helpful. We would be happy to come back.

We stayed 7 nights in Villa 5 for our honeymoon! The Villa is super spacious, with a place to sit next to the window, a very large bathroom with plants. The outside has a table, sink and a sofa. The staff is attentive and helpful, we received lots of tips on how to find turtles here in gili ☺️It is close to good restaurants, snorkeling spots, away from the sound of the Mosque, good air conditioning and great natural lighting with lots of windowsNot least the breakfast is delicious and we tried everything on the menu 😍

The location is very pleasant along the east side of the island close to snorkeling. The villas are quite spacious, if a bit old and in need of repair. This place looks like it was the best on the island 25 years ago but hasn’t been updated much since. There was a bird (I think?) nesting in the roof that was quite noisy and one evening I got inundated with burning trash smell. I know the property cannot control if others are burning trash nearby, but perhaps with better weatherproofing the fumes wouldn’t have gotten directly into my bedroom. There was no spa operating at all when I was there and the pool was shared with the dive center next door. The young staff is trying, but there are some kinks to work out: on my last day I’d asked for a horse cart to help me to the dock, but they forgot to order it so I had to walk.

We had a wonderful stay here, in many of the accommodations we visited in Bali and the surrounding area, the pictures from the internet often didn't correspond to reality, here at Bulan Madu the reality exceeded the pictures, it was really impressive, it was Everything was really big, very clean and the staff was very polite and helpful. The included breakfast was great, we were able to choose what we wanted to eat from several menus every day, and even the egg was cooked as long as we preferred. The work was always very hygienic, the house with the garden was great and we had a lot of nice conversations with the great host, all in one - we felt at home. Thanks for the nice time :)
