The location is good, you can walk to the harbor in 10 minutes. The complex is very nice and well maintained, as are the bungalows. They are also very well equipped. The water in the shower is salt water, but that wasn't a problem for us. The host was incredibly nice, helpful and accommodating, you can also book silver or cooking courses. You can book snorkeling tours or have your laundry done right next door. The breakfast is balanced and extensive. Really very good value for money!Unfortunately we were only there for 2 nights.

Kaktus was home for our 3 week stay in Gili Air in September and we have only amazing things to say!The communication with Bryce before our arrival was clear and timely. Upon arrival we were warmly greeted by Bryce and his team then shown to our bungalow. There are only 4 bungalows which gives the area a very cozy feel. The street quiets down at around 10pm. You can hear the call to prayer at 4:30am but it was not a problem for us. As you can hear it across the small island.The bungalow was very spacious with a closet, two bed side tables and a small coffee table. Outside, was a bench and coffee table. We appreciated the drying rack in the patio as we went scuba diving often. The semi-outside bathroom was spacious. Although it did not have hot water, this was not a problem for us because the days were usually very hot. The cool showers were perfect!!One big value point is the breakfast that’s included with the room. We enjoyed their fruit (dragon fruit and papaya), banana pancakes with tea or coffee every morning!Kaktus is also located in a very good spot on the island. 5 min walk to turtle beach and all the bars and dive shops. It’s right across from Shendy’s restaurant and Warung Alam Damai, both highly rated restaurants. It’s about a 10 minute walk to the coworking space (Working on Air). If you have a bicycle, you can cut down these times by at least half.Although we didn’t take part, Kaktus offers traditional cooking classes as well as jewelry making! There is a laundry service, tour company and bicycle rental right next door as well.A big thank you to the rest of the Kaktus team including Sayda and Ian for all their help and for being so welcoming! After 3 weeks we felt the warmth of all the locals which made our stay very memorable.Highly recommend staying at Kaktus for your stay in Gili Air!

Brilliant jewellery class, we had a great time making some wave themed rings. Bring some ideas and they’ll try their best to help you make it. The price is very reasonable for the quality of the class, and we had so much fun!

Top stay at Kaktus Bungalow! We had a wonderful time, all the staff were super nice and attentive. A big thank you to Brice for his welcome and his helpfulness. The breakfast is delicious, the bungalows are clean and comfortable, ideally located 100 meters from the beach and not far from the “center” of the island. I also recommend the jewelry making workshop! It was great! I can't wait to come back for the cooking class. A big thank you for everything 😌

A really exceptional spot on Gili Air! Spacious, near sunrise beach/10 min from the harbour & everything is easy to walk to, and we were very warmly welcomed. AC works great, towels & drinking water are provided! And breakfast was really nice

We did not stay in the bungalows but our daughters (Ambre and Justine) participated in the jewelry making workshop. It was great. The atmosphere is relaxed and very pleasant.We can only recommend this establishment.Brice deserves to succeed.

We just spent three dreamy weeks in a Kaktus bungalow on Gili Air Island, and I couldn't be more delighted with our stay. The accommodation was simply perfect: completely renovated, ideally located just a three-minute walk from the most beautiful beach on the island, where I had the chance to swim with turtles and immerse myself in the magical atmosphere of this heavenly place.But what really made the difference was the warm welcome from Brice and his entire team, who became like a second family to us. Every morning, we were able to enjoy a delicious breakfast prepared with care and offered by the team, while exchanging precious moments with them.The bungalow was impeccable: an extremely comfortable bed, impeccable cleanliness, and air conditioning which made our stay even more pleasant. At Kaktus you can even take cooking or jewelry making classes with locals, really great and affordable experiences.Honestly, I would have canceled my flight to extend this fantastic stay even longer, because it was without a doubt my best vacation. Thank you to the entire Kaktus team for these unforgettable memories! 😎🙏

The cooking class here was amazing! We made three different traditional Lombok dishes and it was absolutely delicious. G, the cook, was super friendly and did a great job at sharing the cooking culture all the procedures with us so all our dishes turned out really tasty. At the end we received the written recipes and G suggested ingredients to use in Europe incase the exact Indonesian ingredients aren’t available. Perfect for vegetarians too!

Really enjoyed the cooking class. G was a great teacher and very friendly. He told us lots of information about the local food and culture and the dishes tasted amazing. It was nice to have a small group too - it was just me and my partner.

There was no lodging, just a silver craft class, and it was very enjoyable. I recommend making a reservation in advance through whatsapp! The teacher is very patient and all the staff are cheerful and nice people.

Boris (manager) is a truly wonderful person who immediately puts you at ease.We were able to create our own jewelry as well as take a short local cooking class afterwards. It was really great, great staff, we had such a great day! 👍🏼

I took part in the cooking class. It was fantastic and a lot of fun. We cooked traditional Lombok dishes. Ji (chef) explained everything wonderfully and gave a lot of information about the traditional dishes. His English is also very good, so it was easy to follow him.Highly Recommended!Nice relaxed atmosphere.Thanks to the team!Anya

Great location and staff members! Easy walk to everywhere on the island. Shops and arounds right next to the accommodation. Silver jewellery making workshop at the property is a fantastic bonus! Very welcoming bunch of people who make you feel like you are at home! We will definitely be back to Gilli air and will be back at the Kaktus Bangalows!
