Beautiful location, surrounded by peaceful jungle. The owner and staff are very nice and helpful with anything. The waves are also amazing and uncrowded. Highly recommended if you're looking for a relaxing holiday off the beaten path.

The camp has an amazing location which makes you feel you’re in the middle of the jungle. You’ve got the beach to yourself and there is always something fun to do, i.e. surfing, a little workout at the jungle-gym, having a beer at the (daily) campfire and enjoying the sunset.Besides that the food is absolutely amazing and the meals provide a great opportunity to socialise with the other guests. All in all an amazing experience that isnt really missing anything and that makes the very bumpy drive to the camp totally worth it.

Our favourite accommodation in 3 months in Indonesia! Back to basics with a touch of luxury - everything you need is ready and well thought out.We had really good food during our stay, lots of fresh caught snapper cooked over the campfire with many Indonesian style side dishes. Breakfast is German buns baked in the campfire each morning with all the toppings. Good wifi connection if needed! The beach is beautiful and feels like a private beach! White sand and turquoise water, really nice for swimming. Lots of activities like hiking, snorkelling and of course world class surfing. It’s out of the way and the road is a bit rough, but that’s why it’s special. Worth staying minimum 4 nights to make the most of it!

It is a camp made up of comfortable tents separated from each other in the middle of nature, under large tropical trees, and on the edge of Tarimbang beach. Toilets and showers are shared. …

Camp Tarimbang is a true hidden gem. We stayed in one of the tents hidden away in the jungle for three nights. A few steps through the jungle and one of the most beautiful beaches you’ve ever seen will be revealed. The camp is quite remote so the route there can be intense. However, this is exactly what makes the camp so special (empty beach and starry nights) so it’s absolutely worth it. 3 meals a day are prepared for you at the big dinner table. We even had a pizza night and a bonfire. The beds are super comfortable and the tents are cool enough to sleep comfortably. Best part was the fire roasted buns in the morning. The whole camp is eco-friendly and the staff gladly helped us by preparing vegetarian food.Recommend!❤️

Absolute change of scenery guaranteed. First, a good hour on a road as amazing as it is broken and then the bay, sublime, the beach so to speak virgin (in any case of tourists) and this concept which is intended (and which probably is) very respectful of the frame. Everything is designed for true comfort, while respecting the place. The sun produces electricity and they produce methane for cooking. As for the Internet, it’s also solar, even if via satellite… in short, congratulations to Caspar. Finally, the very local meals are absolutely delicious

Well organised full board glamping just back from the most beautiful 2km white sand bay, set in the forest - very relaxed vibe. Safari style tents are large with comfortable double bed and porch with seats, tent 2 recommended for privacy. Toilet (pump system, no flush) and shower facilities (bucket and ladel) were basic as expected. Owner Casper has created many interesting eco-friendly solutions which he will be pleased to explain. Off grid and wifi charged at 50k/day if you want 24hr access. Mainly a destination for experienced surfers but worth visiting for a few nights just for the experience. Can hike to the next bay around (only with a local guide, 250k pp), took us a little over 2hrs each way (5.5km, 280m cumulative ascent one way, use closed shoes) but well worth it to see the jungle/views and the even more beautiful beach with absolutely nothing there. Only 4 stars due to the food, which was repetitive and other than at breakfast (which had delicious fresh rolls), not really enough - protein is typically tempe/fish/chicken, cooked nicely and served with rice and vegetables, but tiny amounts per person. Served family style so if one person doesn't realise and takes a normal portion the rest are left with very little!
