Mertasari Bungalows

We spent 6 nights in this hotel, the room was very clean and washed daily, the towels were changed every other day, the staff are lovely. I would highly recommend ! Thanks again ☺️

The floor and bed in the master bedroom were very clean, but the toilet floor and cabinet were very dirty.On the first day I walked into the room, I smelled a strong smell of pesticides and there was one cockroach on the floor. The next day when the service staff came back from cleaning, four cockroaches were found on the floor.

Very nice family run place. The well-kept garden, the very clean swimming pool. The bungalow was clean, comfortable and spacious. You can rent scooters directly with them. Location slightly outside the chaos of the local streets but 2 minutes from everything by scooter. I would go back! Thank you for the hospitality Mertasari staff!!!!

Stayed for four nights. It was comfortable, cheap, large space, good location. The swimming pool and environment were very clean. There were no mosquitoes. There were few residents, so no one was swimming in the swimming pool. It was close to sea view restaurants and dive shops.But there are two big problems. There is no hair dryer in the room and you have to get it from the counter. It is a mini size. After returning from the sea, your long hair will be blown to pieces. You cannot use the hair dryer you brought because it will cause the battery to trip.There is a problem with the hot water. The employee said that the hot water capacity is only a small water storage tank. After using it, you have to wait 15 minutes before there is hot water again. The hot water is only enough for a quick bath within ten minutes. Fortunately, the temperature here is high, so It's warm water, but it's uncomfortable without hot water.There is no mobile phone reception here, so we have to rely on wifi, but the hotel's network is not fast. If you use the Internet heavily or need to work, it may be a bit difficult. It can still be used, but it is a little slower. Other hotels may have similarly slow network speeds.You can rent a motorcycle from the hotel for 75k a day (I almost ran out of gas when I got the car, so I had to refuel myself), pick up and drop off at the port for 150k, buy a boat ticket for 150k, and book snorkeling and chartered trips on your behalf.Whatsapp replies are slow and not detailed. The counter is deserted after 8pm, so if you have any questions at night, you won’t be able to find anyone.I stayed for four nights and found it comfortable, cheap, spacious, and well-located. Fortunately, the temperature here is high, so the water is warm, but it's still uncomfortable without hot water.There's no mobile reception here, so you rely on WiFi, which isn't fast. If you need to use the internet heavily or work, it might be challenging. The WiFi works but is slow, and other hotels might have similarly slow speeds.You can rent a motorbike from the hotel for 75k per day (it comes with little fuel, so you need to fill it up). They offer port transfers for 150k and sell boat tickets for 150k. They can also book snorkeling and car trips for you.Responses on WhatsApp are quite slow and lack detail. There's no staff at the front desk after around 8 PM, so if you have issues at night, you won't be able to find help.

Booked a manta trip and the bungalow was just a short walk to Freedive Nusa. Spacious and comfortable bed. Friendly staff. Recommended.

Amazing place to stay in Nusa Penida. Perfect for all trips across the island. Very kind and helpful staff. Welcome drink and fruits. Delicious breakfast ( especially omelette and banana pancakes). Clean.

I had the pleasure of staying at this homestay bungalow for three months, and it exceeded all expectations. The hosts were incredibly kind, ensuring my room was spotless daily and even treating me to weekly snacks and fruits. During Nyepi Day they also lended me their sarong to wear for the ceremony, I was so thankful. As a farewell gesture, they presented me with a thoughtful gift, which truly showcased their genuine hospitality. It was a memorable experience that made me feel like part of their family. I highly recommend this homestay to anyone seeking a warm and comfortable place to stay. I miss this place already 🩵
