Clean and well-stocked rooms, clean and characteristic bathrooms, being open to the ceiling and full of beautiful plants. The beds are very comfortable and equipped with a mosquito net (although a little uncomfortable because it rests on the pillows and therefore potentially on your face). The hotel also offers a convenient free scooter rental service to get around in the evening (although we didn't use it) and also a breakfast service. The owner, Ketut, was very helpful, friendly and kind, providing us with information to help us during our stay in Nusa Penida: he showed us a private driver to take a daily tour of the island at a lower cost than that offered by the local taxis (he handled the booking and payment personally without making us do anything), he offered us a free shuttle service to the port at check out, he booked the ferry for us to return to Bali and also showed us some good restaurants nearby. If I really have to find faults, the rooms are not very quiet at night due to the numerous roosters in the surrounding area and the rooms are a little dark during the day, but these are trifles.

In general, for what there is, nusa penida is not bad, it is not an expensive place, but it is true that the reservation was made in the name of my girlfriend and the host spoke only to me despite everything, he never addressed her, as if it were not present. That was a point that bothered both of us quite a bit. The host took us towards the port because he has that service and leaves it up to you to give the money you see fit. In our case we gave him 100,000 rupees but from his face it seemed not enough for a five-minute drive. It is true that inside the enclosure, there are many animals and you will notice noise at night, but in general, for what there is, it could have been worse. There was a war between the dog and the mosque at dawn because of the tremendous noise they were making, it is clear that the dog was not very happy and we were even less amused that he barked. That is not something that the host can control, but it must be highlighted.

In August 2024, our family of seven stayed in this beautiful bungalow accommodation on the island of Nusa Penida, just off the main island of Bali. Our experience was truly memorable, and we’d love to share it here on Google. This is the perfect place for adventurous travellers who want to experience the authentic side of Bali.Ketut, the owner, spent a lot of time with us, sharing fascinating stories from his 14 years of working on cruise ships and travelling the world. He also gave us a tour of the property, including his private quarters with a traditional temple and lovely garden. The bungalows are incredibly charming in a very organic, bohemian way. If you're seeking a marble-filled, five-star hotel, this might not be the place for you – but if you want to immerse yourself in the real Bali, surrounded by nature, this is absolutely where you should stay. The atmosphere is wonderfully creative and welcoming, with a sense of being tucked away in the jungle, in close contact with nature. Breakfast was a highlight every morning, with something new and delicious to enjoy each day.Though Ketut may seem a little quiet at first, he is a deeply interesting and kind host with many stories to tell. We particularly loved the outdoor shower and toilet in the bungalow, which added to the unique experience. Our entire family thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and we highly recommend this accommodation for those seeking adventure and an authentic, unpolished Bali experience. Book this place if you want to discover the real Bali!

Once again, attentive and very pleasant staff.Excellent homemade breakfast. The rooms are charming and intimate.Without criticism but to find out:- the rooms are not cleaned between each night and the towels are not replaced- at night, there are a lot of animal noises (rooster, dogs)But at this price (15 € / night with breakfast) it’s unbeatable

So far the best accommodation in Indonesia in this price range. Highlights: The outdoor shower, Coco the dog, and the fact that you could even rent a scooter for free to go into town. Everything was also easy to reach on foot.

Location: The hotel is conveniently located just 5 minutes from the port if you're arriving from Sanur. Renting a bike makes the commute easy. However, finding the place at night can be challenging due to the lack of a large display board. Just follow Google Maps carefully.Room Quality: The rooms are okay and decently maintained. However, note that there are no toiletries provided, so bring your own. One major drawback is the presence of geckos and lizards on the ceiling. If you're afraid of them, this might not be the best place for you. This issue is common across Nusa Penida, not just this hotel. Otherwise, it's good for the price you pay.Facilities: The hotel offers breakfast, which is tasty but limited to whatever they have cooked that day. Be aware that there are lizards in the dining area and kitchen as well, which might be unsettling if you're afraid of them.Service: The owner is nice, helpful, and quite jolly. He has two dogs that are fun to play with, adding a pleasant touch to the stay.Food: The food is decent, but there aren't many vegetarian options available.Wi-Fi: The Wi-Fi was good and reliable throughout our stay.Additional Services: We purchased fast boat rides from the owner, and he also offers transport to the port for an additional 100k.Pros:1. Convenient location near the port2. Friendly and helpful owner3. Good Wi-FiCons:1. Presence of geckos and lizards in rooms and dining areas2. No toiletries provided3. Limited vegetarian food optionsTips for Future Guests:1. If you're afraid of lizards or geckos, you might want to consider other accommodations.2. Bring your own toiletries as none are provided.3. Renting a bike is a great way to get around the area easily.
