A family run place with 3 cabins and 1 bungalow located in a rural area 10min walk from Crystal bay and 30 min drive from the harbor.Positive - lovely host, very cosy, clean, well maintained accommodation, comfortable bed, good A/C, strong wifi (good enough for video calls if you are working remotely), homemade breakfast, and pretty garden. You can rent a scooter for 100k per day and get a transfer to the harbor for 200k by car directly from the host, Koma.Negative - get ready to be woken up around 6am by many singing roosters every day (not a big deal for me, but I would have preferred to sleep longer). Make sure you bring cash, the nearest ATM is in the harbor (30 min drive) and the few “restaurants” at the beach or little shops dont accept credit cards.

The cabins are beautiful and well equipped but be aware that there is a rooster farm next door with tens of roosters. You will hear roosters crawling constantly also during the night very loud.

TO AVOID:In 6 months of traveling this is the worst hotel experience. The lack of consideration and dishonesty of the owners shocked us.The reservation conditions were not respected. To believe that thanks to their good reviews and the high season, sympathy and welcome is optional. In short, if you want to be mistaken for a wallet on the leg, the address is ideal.

Really dishonest owners. We booked by message directly with them, we agreed on a price for a triple room with breakfast for 3 adults and 2 nights. But when we arrived, we discovered a room with only a double bed. We contact them to find out where the 3rd bed is, and they tell us that for the 3rd bed we have to pay extra. We told them that the price was for 3 people, that they never told us about an extra bed extra, their response was simple “go for it if you want”. We would have liked it but it was difficult to find other accommodation at the last minute. So we are content to sleep 3 in a double bed, anyway given how noisy it is we don't sleep long. For breakfast the next day, it was obviously only for 2 people not for 3. They did not at all respect what was agreed, namely a defined price and a triple room, so we left the next day in a much more correct (and quiet) establishment.

We liked our stay here. Great rooms and super clean. Good breakfast and Komang is very hospitable. He also helps with transport or other questions you may have. The homestay is located in a small rural village that’s super close to Crystal Bay (5-10min walk). Staying here overnight let’s you experience the calmest moments at the beach (in the morning and evening), without the hords of tourists that arrive in the middle of the day. Go to Pandan Beach on the left of Crystal Bay just after lunch. You need to hike a bit to get there, but it’s one of the most beautiful beaches we have ever been to. Head back before sunset and enjoy some food in a warung on the beach and walk back to the homestay in the dark under the stars. It’s safe here at night. Good to note: There’s quite some roosters nearby in the village, but with earplugs that’s not an issue
