Jen and Martin are running a top notch program at Biodviersity. Accommodations are perfectly suitable. Comfortable, clean, quiet, and just enough rustic charm. The grounds are beautiful and natural. All of the meals were excellent and healthy. The diving was extremely well planned and provided the perfect sampling of the area. Would recommend to anyone looking for a dive resort in Raja Ampat

Wonderful place in Raja Ampat, impossible to say anything but about this place. From the first moment you contact to book, everything is easy, but once there, you arrive in paradise. Beautiful cabins and facilities, spectacular beach to snorkel every day and THE BEST, the staff, many thanks to Martin, who was always looking out for us and thanks to him we dived in a spectacular place, he was in charge of helping us with much more than just the diving and he was a great professional. As for the rest, I don't remember the names, but the guy at the bar is very nice, always smiling and looking for us to do the same, the women in the kitchen who serve the dishes are equally pleasant and the food very very delicious. The guys on the boat, Rana is charming, thank you all really, you are very great.A complete success to choose you. I hope to return

We spent 8 nights at Biodiversity Raja Ampat. Overall, we had a good experience. The location of the resort is amazing, it is well integrated with the environment, and the coral reef in front of the resort is healthy and beautiful. The resort offers multiple trips and activities to nearby islands and diving points, as well as alternative and interesting activities (e.g., birdwatching). Further, the food in the resort is tasty and diverse, and the personnel is super friendly and helpful.Still, the resort has the potential to go a step further in improving some aspects that we detected during our stay:- Rats: We noticed (along with other customers) that (wild?) rats have learned to get into the cabins to look for food during the nights. While we understand that in a resort in the nature encounters with wildlife are usual, in the case of rats it may be problematic for several reasons (e.g., quick population growth, illnesses). Introducing some measures to control the population of these animals may be beneficial both for the customers and the island’s ecosystem.- Safety: We noticed that the boats by default do not include life jackets, and some of them may need some maintenance work. Given that some of the trips involve long sailing distances, we would suggest to pay a bit more of attention to this aspect.- Diving: Diving guides are technically strong and very good at finding any kind of sea wildlife. This is exactly what an advanced diver going to Raja Ampat may look for. But, in some cases, less experienced divers also go there to enjoy diving. In my experience, some diving guides may need to be a bit more sensitive to the diving level of the customer to adapt the dive according to his/her needs and skills.- Plastics: Plastic pollution in beaches is a well known problem in Indonesia. And, unfortunately, Raja Ampat is not an exception. We saw workers in the resort cleaning the beach (we also tried to help there), but the means they have to clean the beach seem too basic to keep up. We would recommend the resort investing a bit more on tools to make cleaning beach plastic a more effective task.

We absolutely loved this place. The setting is literally what comes to mind when you picture a remote paradise island with crystal water, white sand and jungle backdrop. The diving was exceptional, it’s hard to imagine where else you will find such underwater beauty, colourful reefs and marine life. We were beginners and got certified with Martin who was a great teacher, made us feel safe but also built up our confidence to dive autonomously. Jen the resort manager was very welcoming and would check in to see if everything was going well. The entire team, cooks and dive guides were super friendly and helpful. We were so sad to leave and felt like we were leaving good friends behind us. Would definitely come again.

The Biodiversity Nature Resort is discreetly positioned in the centre of the best (world renowned) Raja Ampat diving sites. The diving was exceptional. In my nearly 50 years as a scuba diver, the most prolific, vibrant coral and loads of diversity in fish and loads of critters. What made this an extraordinary trip was the hospitality and the quality of the dive team. Martin, as dive centre leader, is among the best instructors and guides i have dived with in my 1000+ dives. My son did his advanced SSI certificate and received excellent instruction. The dive team have in-depth knowledge of the corals and marine life and know how to find the smallest of critters. The resort team within a day of guests arrival, without exception, know your name and your meals and drink preferences.Biodiversity is a small, low impact resort employing local people, where you can chill and enjoy personal service and exceptional diving. Cannot recommend more highly.

we had a wonderful stay at Biodiversity. Beautiful dives made under the guidance of the professional staff. Good diving equipment and boats. Snorkeling is also very good on the house reef. They have a very nice beach bar and the food was very good and varied, with excellent service. The whole Biodiversity team was fantastic, all nice and polite people with a hospitality and service that made our stay a unique experience. Beautiful nature, dolphins off the beach, a dugong, cuscus in the trees, whales during the boat trip and birds around us. Wonderful sounds of the jungle. We will definitely come back again.
