A very nice diving resort with a great location and many nearby exchange spots. The very friendly staff and the owners are very committed to the well-being of their guests. The diving center offers great service, good equipment and the guides also respond to your wishes and ensure that it is an experience for everyone. After 18 days we unfortunately have to say “good bye”, but we will definitely come back. 👍

Waiwo Dive Resort on Waigeo Island offers rustic charm and unspoiled beauty, offering a relaxing retreat for nature lovers and divers alike. The resort is situated close to the dive sites, you can travel to some of these sites in 20 minutes. The owners and staff are very warm and welcoming, going above and beyond to make us feel at home. They are deeply committed to the local community, employing and training locals to work in various hospitality roles, which adds a personal and meaningful touch to the experience. Despite the island's limited resources, the food is delicious and thoughtfully prepared. We got to enjoy a laid-back outdoor BBQ, complete with staff-led guitar music and singalongs, on one of the nights. The rooms are comfortable, surrounded by the sounds of nature—birds chirping, waves lapping the shore, and the occasional patter of raindrops, creating the perfect ambiance for a restful night's sleep. With the sea just steps away, a refreshing dip is always within reach. The dive set-up is managed by Dive into Raja Ampat. Morning excursions at 8:30 am took us to two dives before returning for lunch, followed by a third dive in the afternoon. The dive team is very attentive, taking care of all our gear and ensuring we are prepared for each adventure. Their deep knowledge of the local waters provides reassurance and confidence as we explored underwater. If you're seeking an affordable, relaxed getaway with high-quality diving and genuine hospitality, Waiwo Dive Resort is a hidden gem worth discovering.

We stayed 5D4Ns here, it truly is a home away from home. The meals were amazing, gorgeous sunsets, and the staff were always so willing and ready to assist. The boat crew were enthusiastic and efficient while our dive masters were very professional and always looking out for our safety through the dives. Thank you for having us!

Super great diving resort! 2 aspects for the entire resort, namelyService Department, super friendly staffs, very nice and authentic Indonesian food, they are so attentive that they call you by name after the first day. The room are simple but clean and comfortable with clean drinking and hot shower. The only problem is WiFi, it's only available at the dinning hall, not the the rooms. The Diving Department: they totally spoilt us. Our diving and photograph equipments were carried from the resort to sbd from the boat, we only need to gear up ourselves. Special mentioned to the diving gears room where they wash and hang up all our gears. The camera room with individual table for us to clean, set up and charge batteries.

My husband and I visited the Waiwo dive resort in March 2024. We stayed in one of the ocean front bungalows. The room was large, nicely furnished with cathedral ceilings, air conditioning, ample closet and storage space.  …
