We arrived in the rain, the steps are a little precarious. The room was very spacious and the bathroom was clean with plenty of hot water.The view of the lake is great.The host initially didn't appear very welcoming, but think that was probably as he didn't feel confident speaking English.The next morning, he was friendly.The hub 5 mins walk is great for breakfast. Jenny's 10minute walk away does lovely food too.The stone chairs are walkable. The ferry drop off is walkable too.We would recommend for the stunning view and location.

SOLO FEMALE TRAVELLERS BEWARE.Male member of staff here was very inappropriate with my friend and touched her stomach without her consent multiple times.Overpriced bike rentals.We attempted to organise a taxi back to Medan however the staff’s poor English in combination with their terrible attitude meant that we decided to book elsewhere.

Pretty good..affordable prices. Came here because the hotel we usually stay at was full.Criticism: only the mattress needs to be repaired or replaced so it doesn't make noise! 😅

Great view of the lake, spacious rooms. However, the rooms are not isolated, so you can hear every word (or other noise) from the neighboring rooms. The bed is quite loud but also very comfortable.

Negative points:-The rooms are not soundproof. As a result, you can hear absolutely everything happening in the neighboring rooms, even conversations. We had neighbors who played music and karaoke all night until 4 in the morning! It was impossible to sleep.-The bed creaks, making loud noises with the slightest movement. We had to put the mattress on the floor and sleep directly on the ground.Regarding the location, the lake may be beautiful, but there really isn't much to do. TukTuk feels like a giant Club Med but without any atmosphere. It's an island solely for tourists. There's no vibe in the restaurants and bars.Positive points: The room is spacious with a beautiful view.

Nice rooms for that price. BUT the jet skies and open air karaoke will ruin your stay. Can't sleep, can't work, can't enjoy... So noisy there. If you like the sound of 2 stroke engines in the morning and full volume festival speakers at night. You will love it there.Even they give rooms for free. I would not go back any more.

For us, Amans guesthouse is located in the most beautiful bay of Tuk Tuk! The view from your own terrace is simply incredibly beautiful, peaceful and relaxing, great sunsets!! You can swim great in the quiet bay!! …
