Superb hotel with magnificent rooms (we were in a superior bungalow) with bedroom upstairs and kitchen on the ground floor.The services offered at the hotel are limited (no catering, no scooter rental, no reservation for the ferry, etc.). However, many shops nearby.

Bamboo bay has an amazing location with loads of natural beauty. However, the rooms are hard to acess by dangerous steps that do not align well with the party vibe of phangan or even innert or chronical illnesses and injuries or disabilities. The payment is done upon arrival with limited options of cashback if you want to check out early so i would recommend to first see if you like before you book. The place itself is beautifully maintained by a burmese hospitality team. Whhen a waterpipe broke in my bungalow even you could reach them at night. There is no food or drinks but the manager is eager to prvide basic necessities and some bungalows have even a kitchen or aircon. There is a High Impact Training class in the morning 2 trimes a week and pilates classes as well somtimes. The beach is subpar in its beauty and tranquility and the architecture and especially outdoor area are so enjoyable. Also, they have very friendly dogs.

I had wonderful experience in Bamboo bay!! Eie, the lady in the reception is wonderful wonderful wonderful!!! Willing to help and always with a smile! My room was adorable, with good AC and hot water. Highly recommended!!

Michelle is a great teacher, she makes sure you understand the alignment and the form right!I trained muy Thai for years and her classes and exercises helped me get more balance and strength! Looking forward to go back there when I'll be back inkoh phangan , great teacher!

The place is beautiful, the view on the bay is just gorgeous with the sound of the waves and the jungle all around, feels like a paradise. It would have been perfect if there wasn’t 3 roosters singing every night from midnight or 3am til sunrise.. it was quite a fuss to sleep, as it’s a bamboo Hutt it’s like sleeping in a tent. We stayed there for 10 days so we still loved the place and living in the jungle. I’ve been coming to phangan for 10 years now, and the roosters were just too much.. happy lo leave and I don’t think I’ll book this place again. This is a shame because it is very very nice !

They are bamboo huts, so many insects and small animals can enter. Including cockroaches and geckos. There was a leak in the bathroom so there were little worms in the joints every time and there were termites in the house. There was no breakfast service and the neighbors were very loud. It was an experience, but I wouldn't recommend it.

Very small room, you can use his. Don't even open your suitcase!The room was without air conditioning, supposedly it was bad luck, only 2 out of 10 rooms are without air conditioning, we couldn't change the room, so we checked out again on the same day, but we still had to pay for all 3 booked nights!No restaurant, no breakfast, no beach where you would like to lie down and linger!

Me and my partner stayed here for several months (january-april) Can't believe I haven't write a review yet.We had the best time and really enjoyed our stay. Michelle, Dolf and the rest of the staff is super friendly and helpful. Make sure to join the HIIT class or the pilates, we regret we didn't joined earlier on our stay.Ps. We miss Cashew (the cat) a lot.

Stunning rooms, perfect location and lovely people. Really good price for the place.You have to take into account that everything is made of bamboo so mosquitoes can enter and that there is no good separation between the room and the bathroom. Other than that, stunning

The place is beautiful, gives you a real jungle experience. The owner is great, really cares for his guests. Staff is super nice and helpful. I suggest to take a room with air condition.

Very nice bungalows and a great and very helpful team. Unfortunately, our bungalow only had a fan and no air conditioning, but this had no impact on the quality of the stay. I can only recommend it 100%.

The system itself looks like the pictures - so there isn't too much promise here. The houses are embedded in nature and surrounded by plants and palm trees. The beach is directly accessible - unfortunately there is no section of the beach where you can lie down or swim. The owners and staff are very friendly. We had a house over 2 floors - lower floor with kitchen and seating, upper floor bedroom and bathroom.What we can complain about:- Since the house is made entirely of bamboo, animals - especially annoying mosquitoes - can easily get in at any time- We often had power outages- Room service only every three days - for us only on the 5th day- no daily water- the bed was clearly too small for us- we only had fans - so it was very warm, especially when sleepingTherefore, the bottom line for us is a 2 star deduction

You have to be aware of what you are booking here. The huts look very nice and the whole area is like a jungle. Unfortunately it wasn't for us, as there are visitors in the huts :D There is no air conditioning, but there is a fan, which was also a bit warm for us :)

The general surroundings are beautiful, but as we stayed here during a particularly hot May the one fan in the bedroom wasn't able to keep up with the heat. I had thought we were booking the one hut with air conditioning but that may have been my mistake.The open-plan bamboo design means it's really loud at night and dawn, whether that's your neighbours coming back from a party or the birds and insects kicking off. The staff were very nice, and it's walking distance to some beautiful beaches and restaurants, but we wouldn't stay here again.
