Fresh Bailan Bay

Essential everything working near the sea, we had a good time, the owners are available, the structure is new, part under construction, they opened in December 2022.

Lovely and quiet place! The rooms were clean, nice and comfortable. Really good smoothies, Western and Thai food at the restaurant. The owners, Simon and Be, were great and always up for a chat! All in all we enjoyed our stay a lot and would definitely come back! ☺️

Simon and Bee, you are the greatest! You guys are an awesome and passionate team. Thank you so much for making our stay so comfortable and fun! 5 stars isn’t enough for this place. We wont forget our stay here and it was one of the best! Simon made us feel very welcome and we felt so comfortable around him. B his wife was also lovely and aways gave us a friendly smile. Our top floor chalet had all of the homie feels that one could ask for (comfortable pillows and sheets, shelving, shampoo, body wash & conditioner). At night it was quiet, which we look for when we book accommodations. But lonely beach isn’t far if you want a night out! It’s about a 15-20 minute bike ride to our favourite beach khlong prao beach and there are a ton of truck tucks on the island going back and forth often for a cheap price as well. They have food specials often and everything we had was delicious. You will not be disappointed if you stay here! Everyone was so friendly and made our time on Koh Chang amazing. (Oh and we can’t forget the cute dogs they have.. Jess and whitey). Thanks again Simon and B!

Fresh, located on Bailon Beach, south of Koh Chang, is a quiet place and a great place to have small interactions with people.There are small restaurants, mini supermarkets, and laundry services nearby in Bylon Beach, so there is no major inconvenience while staying there, but there is no 7-Eleven.There is a mixture of rocky and sandy beaches nearby, and the sandy beach has a long, shallow sea, so many people play in the water with their children. I think it would be a good choice if you want to enjoy water play while being safe. And since there are no clubs, there is less noise at night. However, as is the case everywhere on the island, you may be woken up in the morning by birds with enormous vocal prowess. Like a natural alarm.The accommodation is small, but the owner is making changes little by little. Although the room was minimal in size, it was equipped with a refrigerator, air conditioner, and hot water heater, and I was able to sleep comfortably on the bedding that was kept cleaner than other rooms and the soft bed. The price was cheaper than nearby, and it was clean, so I felt at ease.There is also a bar and restaurant, and it was fun to start the day with breakfast like coffee and toast. The shake was delicious too. The hostess is from Isan, so if you want to eat Isan food, you can ask for it.Here, Jess, a very lovely puppy, plays with guests without a moment of boredom. There are also large spotted dogs. Although they look gentle, they sometimes bite, so be careful. However, as long as you keep it tied up all the time and don't show your hand carelessly, there isn't a big problem.The garden is still under maintenance, so it is a bit messy, but various trees such as mango trees, durian, jackfruit, etc. fill the morning view.Above all, chatting with the cheerful and kind Simon and Brown couple was a great pleasure that made me stay here day after day. It created an atmosphere where customers came and chatted together, and it was always comfortable.Most things are done by 9 o'clock, so nothing disturbs your sleep.If you want to explore every corner of Koh Chang's beauty, renting a scooter is the best option. Prices range from 200 baht to 359 baht per night. The price varies depending on the scooter's age and engine displacement. In fact, I was conflicted as I was not used to the uphill and curves at every corner, but the price of Song Tau, which is called a taxi, was quite expensive, so I thought it would be better to rent one to visit many places. However, I drove very slowly, paying close attention to my surroundings, and nothing major happened for three days. However, it is said that accidents happen several times a day, so it is best to be especially careful. The number one priority for making your trip comfortable and enjoyable is safety. Be sure to wear a helmet too.And you can see monkeys everywhere, and they seem to be a small species. Sometimes you can see groups of monkeys sitting on the road or in trees along the road. At this time, I park my motorcycle and take pictures, but I think I should park it on the side of the road as much as possible and enjoy that time. If you stop in the middle and take pictures, an accident with the car behind you may occur. I even saw someone feeding the monkeys along the road, and it was dizzying to see the monkeys crossing the road to eat the food. What were you thinking to entice me to cross the road? If you really want to give something, I think it's right to go over to the forest where the monkeys are and give it to them.Koh Chang also offers elephant tours. I didn't want to try it, but what kind of pleasure would I find riding on an elephant that was raised and beaten? I also saw a kid tying up a baby elephant and feeding it, and I don't think this is something you should teach a kid. It's a shame to see so much trash everywhere you go. We who come to enjoy clean nature wonder what kind of image we leave behind when we leave. I felt sad every time I saw mountains of plastic bottles piled up everywhere. I thought this was something we should think about every day, even when we go home.Compared to other places, Koh Chang seems like a great place to come and have a relaxing and beautiful time. Although there is not a lot of things to see, it would be a good place to enjoy some downtime and communion with nature.Next time I go to Koh Chang, this is where I want to stay again.

Beautiful & perfect location!

We had a really nice time here at Fresh. The location is great, beach and restaurants only a couple of meters away. All places on the island are easily accessible by scooter. It's really quiet in the night, so you can get a good sleep. The facilities are really good for that cheap price. Comfy beds, good AC and lots of sockets. The owners are very welcoming, always helpful and up for a nice chat. I highly recommend this place and will definitly come back here if im ever on ko chang again.

it was perfekt🥰the owners are very friendly. there is very tasty coffee and good shakes. it's all very new. the area is very nice and the bungalows are well equipped. I can highly recommend this place. I would come back any time.
